Almost perfect
I've waited 2 mos to write my review, wanting time to give it a thorough workout. It passed with flying colors, starting with a batch of chocolate chip cookies in under 8 mins (first things first is my motto), followed by a scrumptious rotisserie chicken. A couple wks later I did our 5# Christmas prime rib roast on the rotisserie, which it cooked to perfection despite my inexperience with a rotisserie. Since then I've rotisseried several more chickens and a pork loin roast. It does great on finishing steaks started in a skillet too. I'm looking forward to doing a turkey in a few weeks. Also, I saved and then roasted or broiled all the bones to make beef stock and chicken broth. The oven has met or exceeded my expectations on non-meat food too, including many more cookies, several cobblers and slow-bake cream pies, a dozen loaves of bread and lots of cornbread. Brownies and a birthday cake are on the list for next month. I've dehydrated celery, carrots and yams, and made jerky from chicken, venison and javelina. It always seems that no matter the product being purchased - oven, washer, fridge - most times, compromises must be made. In this case, I really really really wanted an interior light, and several of their models do have one. However, my primary needs were for a large capacity, a rotisserie and unlimited cooking time, all of which this model gives me. So I settle for sticking a flexible magnetized cordless light to it, next to the top dial, and remind myself that I got the features I most desired...and at a bargain price. Some general pros: This is a basic oven - it doesn't set the table or do the dishes, no air fryer, toaster, etc - but is exactly what I wanted. Although the outer front and top get as hot as any oven, the sides are well vented and barely warm. I have no problems with butter, bananas and tomatoes 2 inches away from one side, and a jar of solidified bacon grease and creamed honey on the other side. I have limited counter space so appreciate that I needn't worry about carelessly setting things too close. Cooking temps hold steady and accurately but I relied on a thermometer for a couple weeks until I was sure. The temp setting is by means of a variable dial marked in 50-degree increments rather than a digital readout but I'm comfortable with that. I like being able to easily increase or lower the temp by 5-15 degrees to control the amount of browning instead of covering food with foil. To compensate for convection cooking I routinely set temp 25 degrees below whatever a recipe calls for and reduce time by about 10%. I recently discovered that I can get additional browning of baked goods without cooking them longer simply by putting the pan on the included baking rack rather than on a wire rack. I don't make toast but if I did, I'd put the bread slices in this pan. The timer can be set up to 2 hrs or unlimited - a hard-to-find feature in countertop ovens. Cons: There are only two. The light I already mentioned. The other is that the chrome, including the knobs, is so bright that it's hard to read the settings in certain lighting unless I angle a light so that it hits to either side of the knobs. The size and font of the black letters and numbers get lost in the shine. All in all I am very happy with my convection oven. It wasn't my first choice, or even my second, but I'm so glad it's what I decided on to replace my 35 yr old Sharp. A good oven is like a reliable friend! I expect this relationship is going to last a good many years.

I just love this oven!
I bought this "like new" from the Amazon Warehouse. It came in an Amazon branded box and looked perfectly new with all accessories. I held my breath hoping for the best. I've used it daily for the last 6 weeks. I've rotisseried beef and pork roasts as well as several chickens. One of the chickens was 6 lbs and with some seriously ceative trussing, it managed to fit. With the chickens, I remove them from the skewer, put them on the drip pan and crisp them up using the convection setting for about 10-15 minutes. Speaking of convection, while I do have a noticeable hum, I am not experiencing the horrible, loud rattle some people have reported. My observations: 1. It heats to the correct temperature on every setting - bake, broil, rotisserie and convection. I have tested its BAKE accuracy at 200, 350, 375, 400 and 450 degrees. It will go up and down a bit as it cycles on and off but it maintains within 20ish degrees. Read the Frazer Run Properties review then go their profile to look at the pictures of how to set the temp correctly. 2. It will fit a 6lb chicken with creative trussing. 3. It is not obnoxiously loud, does not clang nor make excessive noise using convection. 4. Gets very hot on the outside. Don't touch it, duh. The handle on the door does not get hot. 5. Fits all of my 2 qt variously shaped casseroles WITHOUT handles. Fits my 13x9 pans WITHOUT handles. Does NOT fit two 6 cup muffin pans side by side. 6. It does not toast as it is not a toaster oven which is clearly stated in its description. This is absolutely one of the best purchases I've made in a very long time. I love this oven and I can't remember how I did without it. It's only been six weeks but I have faith it will continue to be a perfectly functional appliance. I will report back in a couple of months after I've had even more use out of it. I highly recommend this oven and I'm pretty happy with Amazon Warehouse too. This is, however, my very first purchase using them but it makes me more likely to give them another shot. I saved about $30 going with the "like new" purchase. UPDATE: (April 13, 2014) Still going strong. Still no unreasonable noise with convection. Makes the best and most moist chickens you will ever eat using the rotisserie. Still holding it's temperature well. I use it near daily and I'm still loving it. And finally, I'm still thrilled I took the chance with the Amazon Warehouse deal. Update (July 13, 2014) I still love this oven so much! I'm still not hearing any loud or obnoxious sounds under convection. Its still heating up and maintaining heat properly. I rotisserie a couple of chickens a week and they're still turning out fantastically. I use this oven at least 4 times a week and it's still one of the best purchases I've made in a long time.

Good size, cooks very well, rotisserie is excellent and used often for chicken and some roasts, even heat and cooking, good for baking, exterior heat as expected and not a problem. Would buy this again and highly recommend. Thanks for the great product!

This is the first oven i ever bought. I am very satisfied with my purchase! Great value for your money. I tried all the different functions it offers and they all work well. I am especially impressed with the rotisserie function! I used it to cook one chicken and it was the best roasted chicken that I've ever had in my life! My wife was so impressed too! We were going to have one leg and thigh each and save the rest to take for lunch at work but ended up eating the whole thing!! Well.. i ate most of it, but yeah great oven! 100% recommand. Regarding size, it's quite large for a toaster oven, you can fit pretty much anything you wanna cook for 2 in there, probably wont fit a turkey though.. I haven't tried that though. A lot of comments complain that it heats up a lot on the outside.. it does.. but thats why you use mittens. As i said this is my first oven so I'm no way an oven expert but i think it's quite normal that it heats up and i don't think it presents amy dangers if you ise mittens. Over all, great compact oven, looks good, operates easy, makes best chicken.

Great size. I have no complaints. We bought a second for the farm. I have had people ask where to get it as they can't find them in stores this size. We are only a 2 person household, perfect for most meals. I have cooked pizzas, whole chickens and roasts in it. I never use the big oven for our daily meals. Fire it up for turkey though lol
