Bought this as it was on offer at the time. LED Lenser have produced this top of the range model as a evolution from the original X21. It now has a Lithium Iron Phosphate rechargeable cell and a vastly more powerful 5000 lumen maximum output. Recharging takes about 3 hrs and it produces an INSANE 5000 lumen output of brilliant white LED light with no noticeable colour cast. The output and the beam width are adjustable and will cater for all but tbe most long distance use. This torch is not really an every day carry and is probably more transportable than portable as it is a heavy, bulky item. However it is incredibly bright and will suffice for everything but the most extreme distances. Recommended

I have some other LED Lenser torches and have always oggled at the X21 range since they came out. Finally I convinced myself that I needed this beast of a torch so took the plunge. This new 2019 X21R now has 5000 Lumens and oh my what a torch!! I have not had time to go out for a good play but my goodness it is bright, the woods over the road from me were well lit and even then I had not worked out how to get the 130% boost working. Now I know how to do when I go out again will be testing it on the full 5000 lumens!! Build quality is top class and the accessories in the box are great, wall mount is really good but you do have to take the anti roll cuff off the end for it to go in which is a little annoying as then you have to put that somewhere safe. Strap is nice but wish it also came with a belt clip. Also shame it came with a Euro plug, easily swapped as had a bunch at home (figure 8 type) but shame I have to now bin the one it came with. Overall this is an amazing torch, very happy with it.

You get what you pay for, it is THAT simple. The X21R oozes supreme quality in all aspects. Beware though it's large, quite heavy but by George it's pure class. English police Serious Collision Investigation Units use this actual torch & I can see why. It also comes with a 7 year warranty too! If you are after a serious, very high quality piece of kit in the torch department, buy it. 5 stars just don't do it justice, 10 would be better

For a torch at this price point I would expect it to be fantastic, unfortunately I can't test it because straight out of the box and fully charged the torch doesn't work. Will not turn on, battery indicator shows fully charged but alas no light. Currently awaiting Led Lenser's service department to contact me who have been helpful if not a little slow at replying at times but the upshot is its probably going to be returned and I will find an alternative to purchase. Really disappointed.

I know it costs a lot, but you are getting one hell of a torch. Even on low setting the light is too bright to look at and on full - even with your eyes closed, it is still too bright to look at. Anyone who needs a torch that will go the distance 'and more' the manufacturer claims, it will flood an area the size of a football pitch, has a bright strobe & SOS feature - look no further. You have already found it. My only negatives are the weight, the short, circa 70 to 90 min battery life on full power and that LED Lenser are yet to make red filters so you can keep your night vision intact.

Honest review, it does bloody work. A review says it dont and I would 100% recommend you sent it back and get a new one as your be missing out mate! It's a beautiful specailly shining down a foggy river at right! Only draw back so far is the zoom function. Probably hard to graspe this as it's not in your hand but to zoom you've to pull the very end of the torch in and out its about an inch of surface.... okay so my point is on many other torches you just grab the whole torch head .. so from the torch imma call it a bar .. so the torch bar (long bit) you would just extend your arm a bit first contact would be the torch head and you be in zoom mode ..but no you've to look down shuffle up a bit grab both sides of the widest part of the torch (needs large hands) to use this function. That being said its not had heavy use and I'm sure I'd get used to it!

Strong , sturdy , good customer service

Without a doubt the most powerful well made torch I have ever had the pleasure to own it's so powerful it lights up a disused quarry near where I live, as I am intrested in silhouette photography, and this torch gives me the confidence to light up the pathways I need to get to get to my destination, im so impressed with it iI've ordered the tripod accessorie and another x21.2 to help with night lighting, preferred the x21.2 to the rechargeable unit as I can take spares with me, run time with duracell batteries 8 hours full power, 10 out of 10 brilliant tool.

Es ist das erste Mal jetzt, daß ich eine Produkt Bewertung verfasse. Ich hatte auch erst überlegt ob ich es hierbei machen soll - aber vorweggenommen das Produkt hat mich überzeugt - deswegen mache ich es ! Also, ich habe die Lampe diesen Monat (Jan.2016) bei Amazon erworben. Ich hatte mich schon vor Jahren für die LED-Taschenlampen und die dahintersteckende Technik interessiert. Und wenn man sich mit dem Thema befasst, landet man auch schnell bei der Marke LED-Lenser. Auch wenn die X21.2 für meinen objektiven Bedarf ehrlichgesagt etwas "overdressed" ist, so hatte mich dieses Modell (die X21) schon seit es diese gibt fasziniert. Das Anfangsmodell hatte "nur" 950 LUMEN aber das war zu der Zeit eine wahnwitzige Leistung. Die LED Technik hat sich aber seitdem stark weiterentwickelt und so sind beim Batteriemodell X21.2 derzeit 1600 LUMEN am Start, die bei Notwendigkeit auch bis 20 h leuchten. Es gibt ja auch noch den LOW Modus ( 250 LUMEN ) und da sind es dann sogar bis 100 h Leuchtdauer. Für mich war wichtig, daß man die Lampe mit Batterien bestücken kann. Das AKKU Modell (X21 R.2) wollte ich nicht, obwohl die LUMEN noch deutlich höher (3200L im BOOST und 2500 L im Powermodus) ausfallen. Nun hatte ich mich also für die Lampe entschieden und sie auch aufgrund des derzeit attraktiven Preisniveaus gekauft. Sie kam auch zum Glück schnell. Die Lampe kommt in einem hochwertig anmutenden Kunststoffcase und hat ähnlich wie bei einem Werkzeugcase solche Schiebeverriegelungen. Also sicher und ordentlich verstaut die Lampe. Ich lasse mich nun nicht über die technischen Daten der Lampe aus, weil man die ja ganz einfach im WEB abrufen kann. Die X21.2 macht einen hervorragenden Qualitätseindruck und hat eine tolle Haptik in der Hand. Sie Ist allerdings mit den Batterien auch nicht ganz leicht - (1400 gr.) Die Lampe ist ganz easy auch für Nichtkenner zu bedienen und durch die Modi zu schalten... Toll finde ich den verstellbaren Strahlfocus am Lampenkopf, der durch Reindrücken und Rausziehen des Kopfes verstellt wird. Also ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, daß jeder - sei es nun Themenneuling oder auch Kenner - Er/Sie wird beim ersten Einschalten der Lampe seinen WOW-Effekt bekommen. Es gibt von anderen Premiummarken mittlerweile handgehaltene Lampen (sogar kleiner als die X21) die bis zu 5000 LUMEN bieten !!! Aber glaubt mir - die dauerhaft verfügbaren 1600 LUMEN der X21.2 sind jeder Situation erhaben und sprechen für sich. Auch hat man halt ein batteriebetriebenes Modell, mit sehr langer Leuchtdauer und einem verstellbaren Focus (wichtig !). Für mich persönlich ist die LED-Lenser X21.2 unter den High-End LED-Taschenlampen der beste Allrounder, weswegen ich mich auch dann für diese entschieden habe. Ich gebe jedem, der in der Entscheidungsphase steckt auch den Hinweis sich auch Videos dazu anzugucken. Also, ich habe schon regelrecht hochgesteckte Ansprüche. Ich kaufe mir in der Regel immer mit das hochwertigste Produkt einer Kategorie - nach vormaligem einlesen bzw. Schlaumachen und halt wenn der Preis halbwegs ok ist. Die LED-Lenser X21.2 erfüllt auch aus den vorstehend genannten Gründen meine Ansprüche vollends... 5 Sterne !!!
