My Harley-Davidson Street Bob came with 12" apes. I am 6'4" tall and have long monkey arms. I purchased these 14 inch apes so I can extend my arms a little more plus they look great. The Street Bob (+ All Sportster and Dyna models) have a narrow fork assembly and these narrow bottom ape hangers fit perfectly. Burly sells these apes in black or chrome and in 12", 14" and 16" heights. I personally think the 16" ones are too tall. The 2 inches between 12" and 14" sounds small but there is definitely a noticeable difference in the height. Also, the taller your handle bars are the more responsive the bike will become when pushing and pulling to turn. Too tall and things can get dangerous fast. Most US States do not allow your hands to be higher than your shoulders for that reason. I would not recommend anything taller than 12 inches to an inexperienced rider. I love these bars and they look great on my bike. Installation was a pain in the ass due to all the wire and cable extensions that are needed. I've been working on cars and motorcycles since before I was a teenager and it took me 6+ hours to install. If you have little patience and/or have little to no mechanical ability I would highly recommend having the dealer do the install. It may cost 3 or 4 hours of labor costs but it is definitely worth it.

Great bars for the price not very hard to internally wire it good brand and you got good quality. The only thing I will say do you research about if you need to extend any wires or brake cables before you buy?

The Bars are black gloss power coat. Would I buy them again yes. They are installed on a 2008 Harley Nightster xl1200n. I used the burley 12in cable kit on 14in handle bars. The Cables fit perfect! Burley cables run longer than stated on the box.
