Bracketron Universal ProMount Windshield Mount

I had the TomTom universal mount that worked decent for 4 months, and then wouldn't stick to anything at all.This one is very well built with way more possibilities for mounting angles and positions (arm length, arm angle, 360° swivel). And the cup really grips the windshield. On the TomTom, you could click it all the way down from the get go. On this one, I can click it just past half and that is pushing it hard, and there is a larger area contacting the glass, so I can already tell that this one is far better built and will work flawlessly for a long time to come. I'll update if it breaks, but I'm getting ready to jump the gun and order a 2nd one for my other car, they are built that well.

Good overall windshield mount for your car.My Samsung Galaxy SIII (AT&T), sometimes slips out of the holder. This is because I put my SIII, with its protective case, into the holder of the GPS mount.Recently, I have figured a way to tightly secure my SIII with its protective mount. You just press the sides of the holder hard, until you hear this sort of clicking sound, locks it secure.Also, put the GPS Pro-mount on the part of your car's windshield where you can easily reach your phone, or read from your phone's screen, during traffic stoppages and stop lights.Easy to take off also, just use the latch. Would recommend taking it off your car's windshield when you go to unknown places, so your car doesn't get broken into, since thieves might mistake that your smartphone is in your car.Overall, a good product. Best car mount I have used for my smartphone !I have not used for a GPS, so I do not know how good it is for that.Google Maps is a great GPS with live time updates, its free, just need a data plan for your phone.4.75 STARS -- All Around !

Great holder

Second unit I own. For commercial use it's ok not good. The suction cup gets yellow and hard after a year. The sliding neck loosens up too. Will work for iPhones. For consumer use it's by far the best I have used keeps tight. Good price too.

I am a trucker, therefore required to have "hand-free" use of any phone or media instument. I bought two of these mounts, I absolutely loved them....for about 6 weeks. On the one, the button that opens & closes the gripping jaws no longer works. And on the other, the gripper no longer grips, so my phone keeps falling out. The design is awesome, however, it is cheaply made....glad I did't pay full price for them.

Promount's product is the very best GPS holder.It is easy to attach to the windshield with its suction cup which has a mechanism to increase the suction until it is unmovable (so spit needed).Inserting the GPS can be done with one hand.The GPS can be moved in any direction, up/down, left/right.Its robustness means it will last a long time and not come off easily nor break.This is my second time I bought this type of mount for my second generation GPS. The previous one lasted for many years.Another advantage I found with this mount is that it can be easily removed, so I can use it for a different car, like when I travel and get a rental.

UPDATE on previous review: NOT a Great phone mount! Was Very sturdy and void of vibrations. But I Will Not buy another for my wife’s SUV for the following reason:Suction cup came lose from the plastic bracket and is now useless! Contacted Bracketron to see about a warranty replacement since the Amazon return date expired on 21 May. I was informed that since I had not purchased the mount through their online store, they would not honor their one year warranty. Very disappointed that they would not stand by their own product regardless of where it was purchased!

The Bracketron GPS Pro Mount is a high quality windshield mount. It has a large, strong suction cup, so there is virtually no chance of dropping your electronics. The design allows you to position the mount at any angle conceivable. Great price. Only downside, it does shake slightly when you hit major bumps in the road.
