One of the best MJ books ever
I just received my book in the mail and it is alot better than I expected. It is not another biography novel about MJ at all. It's more like a fun, illustrated Michael Jackson encyclopedia. There are tons of pictures in the book including pictures of him, his videos, magazine covers, and more. Most, if not all, the pages have photos on them with a caption to tell what the photo is. The book starts in 1968 (when he entered the music industry) up until 2009. The book timelines his entire life of significant dates year to year. The book is truly amazing and I recommend it for anybody. Michael suggested the "Visual Documentary" books himself in his "HiStory" sleeve. It's the perfect addition in any collection.

A Very Special and Must Have Book For Anyone Interested in MJ
This is a wonderful book full of pictures and detailed information about Michael's life organized by each year of his life and by specific months and dates in his life. For example, on July 13, 1988 Michael visited sick children at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and three days later on the 16th he performed a sell-out concert at Wembley stadium which Prince Charles and Princess Diana attended. This book has a lot of other information about Michael's concerts, his album releases, his charitable acts, the important events/award shows he attended, major milestones in his life, and a lot more. What's really special about this book is all the rare, specific details that it gives about Michael's life like that he and his company, MJJ Productions, provided over 200 turkey dinners for families in Los Angeles at the end of 1991. The book even lists all the important magazine covers that Michael appeared on in his life by year and month and it very helpfully even tracks the sales progress of Michael's albums and singles by date (did you know that the album "Thriller" sold 700,000 extra copies following Michael's Pepsi commercial burn accident back in January 1984?). All the important parts of Michael's life are covered in this book starting from his birth, the Jackson 5 years, the 80s, the 90s, and so on. I really love the timeline/encyclopedia-like format of this book. Nice, quality pictures are spread throughout the book along with occasional quotes from Michael on the side and even his tour dates, album song listings, and other little goodies are included throughout. The book was updated this year to include information about his passing.Adrian Grant, the writer or compiler of this book, was a good friend of Michael Jackson and his admiration, respect, and love of Michael Jackson absolutely shows up in this very thorough and well put together book.To me, this is a must have book for people who want to know more about Michael Jackson and his incredible musical accomplishments as well as his equally impressive and neverending charitable contributions to the world. If you really want to know more about Michael Jackson the man (not the one the tabloids have created), this is a great place to start. I highly recommended this book for all collectors and fans of Michael Jackson (there is something here in this book for everyone). This is definitely one of the most important and valuable items that I own in my MJ collection and I don't think that any MJ fan should be without it.

Great book!!!!
This is a great book to keep with really nice and rare photos of MJ. I listened to his early music from the 'Off the Wall' back as a kid, and later on enjoyed listening to his other songs. I basically did get this book recently by ordering it, not because it has so many really good photographs of MJ, also because it is a Tribute to him, he was a great humanitarian, performer, and father to 3 wonderful children. This book is about his career, the troubles with the trial and what he went through throughout his career. This is not however one of those boring books that is a tell-all-book. I am so glad that i purchased this book.

Michael Jackson: A Visual documentary The Official Tribute Edition (Omnibus Press)
The photos are not all that great. Mostly small and in black and white. What I do like about the book is it lists all the songs on Mj and Jackson 5 albums. It chronicals Mj's life by date from birth to death. It has some very interesting trivia too. I plan to donate my MJ books to the local library after I've read them. It is a way to get out that he was innocent and that his kind of entertainment talent only happens once. I am a new fan; post MJ's death. To keep his legacy alive we need to spread the word. I'd like to see a book dedicated soley to MJ's humanitarian deeds. He was such a loving and caring person.

Worth the money
Very nice book which illustrates Michael's life. Good size book with a lot of information. Definitely worth the purchase. Just a couple of things to know: it only comes in soft cover, which is disappointing because I want it to be a coffee table book, and most of the photos are in black and white, I wish more photos were in color. With that being said, I would definitely recommend ordering this book, it has tons of the black and white photos to go with the pages, and it is a thick book of decent size and worth every penny! Great purchase overall.

A Beautiful Tribute to the Greatest Entertainer Ever KOP MJ
This book is a beautiful, classy, positive portrait and artistic time line of the King of Pop's life and career. Compiled and written by a man who truly knew and admired Michael Jackson and his super star career. Adrian Grant previously released other books similar to this tribute with Michael Jackson's personal blessing, this Visual Documentary honors MJ in the way he so deserves to be remembered. It is clear that Adrian Grant loved, respected and admired Michael Jackson as a man, humanitarian and genius artist. It is a beautiful addition to my Michael Jackson collection.

Could have been a great book
This book could have been so much better. It chronologically details Michael Jackson's musical achievements in a large, clear format with dates in bold font. There are many great picturs, BUT the majority are in black & white. Considering the high-expectations for quality picture reproduction in today's book market, the lack of color pictures seems like the publisher is skimping to earn higher profits. As this item is meant for a gift, I can only hope the recipient is not as disappointed as I am.

Good for MJ victim corroboration
I only bought it as I am an attorney reviewing the latest allegations against Michael Jackson. Comparing James and Wade's legal complaints against the MJ Estate/MJJ companies. This booked helped corroborate their testimonies and iron out some slight inconsistencies in dates. It is easy to see where these came from using this book.Otherwise it's a rather sickening read keeping in mind that MJ was abusing children throughout many of those years.

The Michael Jackson Bible
This book is just a MUST for all fans of Michael. It chronicles his life from his very humble beginnings right up to that tragic day that I will never forget. This book is full of facts and not full of errors that many that came out after his death contained - definitely not a rush job. I have one of the previous editions of this book, which were released during certain times in Michael Jackson's life so when I realised that there was a Tribute version I just had to get it. It is a great book showing what Michael achieved during his lifetime and what he did on certain dates of each year. Even Randy J Taraborrelli, the author of the 'Magic and the Madness', lists this book as one of the sources of information he used when writing his book. It is just refreshing for facts to be presented and not a book full of hearsay or the author's opinion about Michael Jackson. It is also nice to know that the Author had met Michael on several occassions and even after MJ's passing he visited MJ's children and mother to present them with an up to date copy. I was also hooked on reading Lisa Marie Presley's blurb which she published on the internet not long after Michael's death, it moved me to tears, which you can find towards the end of the book. This book is a wonderful walk down memory lane, an absolute treasure! A massive thank you and well done to Adrian Grant for this truly amazing 'Bible'.

Worth buying
This book details things that Michael was doing from the start of the Jackson 5 up until his sad passing. I gained comfort from this as other "biographers" who I've seen on tv since MJ's death made it sound as though he'd led a very sad and tragic life since the Arvizo case. This book however shows that Michael was still collecting awards and still working in the studio etc even though sadly for us fans no songs were recorded into an album. This has also been written by someone who knew Michael which is refreshing after all the books which have been written, not all of them truthfully or correctly since June. Also a final point in it's favour is that obviously apart from the last few weeks this book was actually approved by Michael.

I love this book
I love this book. It’s like a diary of his whole professional life, and some personal events too. I can’t believe such a book exists and I’m pleased to have it. It is written in daily snippets from his birth to his passing. It has some great pictures and tons of information about the King of Pop. Also that he approved it makes it even more special as he was happy with what was written. This is a very special book.

loved this book
This is a brilliant and very informative book that covers all of Michaels life and achievements. It's a definately can't put down read and will be a great addition in any MJ fans collection. Adrian Grant misses nothing and keeps you interested right to the very end and it goes without saying and i'm sure all MJ fans will agree that is the only part of the book i would love to change. Michael authorised the original edition of this book and it's clear to see why, the new tribute edition is a reminder to all who read it just how amazing Michael was.
