CanonPixma iP2600 Photo Inkjet Printer (2435B002)

I bought this printer in 2009 before college, and boy did I love it! I still do love it, and I plan to take it with me to grad school. I am sure in the past 5 years of use, this printer did stutter and jam several times... but for the most part, my impression of my printer is a positive one. I got this for less than $100, so I think I got this for a bargain. I guess the price went up. This printer is not the fastest, but it got the job done. You have to manually manipulate the papers and printing settings to get double-sided printing (which I made mistakes with several times). The printing quality was very much sufficient for essays and lecture notes with images. I am too cheap to use expensive ink to print photos with this, but I am sure people liked it for its intended purpose. It is loud when it prints, so if you live in a 3-person, tiny dorm room like I did freshman year, late-night printing would be a bit rude. Love this printer, and i hope I can keep using it!

I've only used this printer a couple of times, but so far I love it. I love the overall appearance of the printer. The ink cartridges were a little hard to get in the first time, I almost gave up. Print quality is better than the previous printer I had. Very easy to set up. It does take awhile for it to begin printing documents, I wait almost a minute before it begins to print. Overall for the price and quality of printing, I would give this computer a B.

We found the print to be good but the printer tended to feed two or more pieces of paper at a time. We couldn't figure out how to correct this.

I bought this printer over a year ago. I only used black ink - but lo and behold when I went to print something in color - there was no colored ink left! Besides the fact that it prints a minimal amount of black type - and the fact the ink costs a fortune! You pay for this printer on the backside. It is definitely not worth the $50.00 it costs. If you do buy it be prepared to have a lot of ink cartridges on hand because you will need them.

The Canon ip2600 is slow and the prints are quite mediocre, but it's cheap, so what? Well, next time I would spend a few more dollars and have a much better machine. Don't believe the  Canon Pixma iP2600 Photo Inkjet Printer (2435B002) reviews saying this product is anything more than C- or D+.

Got mine Friday. Came well packaged in the original box with nothing missing. Hooked it up and ran the program disc and worked perfectly. It is replacing the exact same printer I was using that was about 8 years old that finally broke. Very happy. Fast shipping also. Must run the program disc. Although this one is identical to old one the different serial numbers wouldn't let it work.

I found this product very useful in printing cardstock postcards and company flyers in color.

Using it with Mac OS X v10.5 connected to the airport wireless hub so that it functions as a network printer for all the macs in the house. Blazing fast, excellent color print quality. I don't intend to use it for photos. Print cartridges are less expensive than most. Set up was simple plug and play. Very pleased.

Love this printer - this is my second one and its perfect like the first one!!
