I got it to clean gutters, wash 2nd story windows, and seal my T-111 siding. As a senior citizen I'm too old to do the ladder work anymore. I was surprised how light (1/2 pound) yet sturdy, the 8 to 16 foot pole is. As mentioned many times in the reviews, the hexagonal design of the extension section offers more rigidness than the round designs thus the light weight as well. Extended to 16 feet I can easily reach the gutters, and as high as the attic section of siding above the second story. There are a multitude of attachments available as well. I found another use for my Extension pole. I've been picking up trash thrown out of vehicles by irresponsible people who don't seem to care out keeping our country beautiful. I took a paint roller and cut off the plastic roller ends so I just have the metal hook. I can reach in heavy foliage, bushes, including jagger bushes, and gently insert the metal into the hole in cans or into a bottle and pull them out. Works great. I also voluntarily have cleaned up fishing areas around a nearby resort lake. So far We've picked up trash along 2 miles of shoreline, and also a bicycle trail which runs along it. The park authorities are elated, and actually it's been fun. We've actually had people stop and pitch in This pole is light weight and extends and retracts so easily I can't imagine using anything else. I also have a short extention pole as well which I use for more open areas. The nice thing is that most of the time I don't even have to touch the debris.

The Wooster Sherlock extension pole is very sturdy, yet easy to work with. The adjustable length feature is great, making it versatile for many home maintenance chores. It adjusts easily and has a spiral end that accepts different tools like paint rollers and deck brushes. It remains sturdy, even when fully extended.

This Wooster Brush 6-12 ft extention pole saved me from getting on a ladder to paint a very tall stairwell with a landing. It is super sturdy and the roller does not wobble on the end when fully extended. The pole extends smoothly and latches securely. I am able to create a nice even pressure when using it fully extended. It made fast work of a daunting task. AND it saved my neck and shoulders from being strained. I would pay 3 times what they charge, it's that good. You NEED this.

This is a serious job extension pole. The quality is great! Now, I wasn't expecting a commercial/industrial quality pole so for my needs I had to make some adjustments to residential style attachments. I bought this pole so I could scrub and squeegee my 2nd story windows without the need of a ladder. The pole worked great. I did have to cut the handle off of my squeegee right up to where the threads started so I could screw it on to this pole. The need for that was right after the threads on this pole the width was too thick to slip the squeegee handle down far enough to thread it on. 10 seconds with a hack saw on the plastic squeegee handle and I was in business. This pole is probably best suited for painting. or some type of professional tradesman. It's not a cheap throwaway product!
