I have made hundreds of masks this year using this elastic for ear loops for friends, family, neighbors, and to donate to various places in my community.I bought it in both hot pink and bright green, and have been delighted with its durability. It’s thin enough to sit comfortably behind the ear (and be easy to stitch over) and stretchy enough to keep masks tight to your face. It does stretch out over time and repeated use — like any lightweight elastic will — but my solution was to just knot it again to make the ear loops tighter.I would definitely recommend this elastic!

I bought this elastic to use as around-the-head fasteners for cloth face masks. It is perfect. 1 have used 1mm cord on children's masks, but it feels a little too fragile for adult masks. The 2mm size is just what I was hoping for. It is strong enough to hold the mask firmly, stretchy enough to slip over the head easily, and is easy to tie securely.I make pleated masks with side channels, running a continuous loop of elastic through both sides long enough to have two loops behind the head. Depending on head size, you need 28" - 32" for an adult mask. That means you can make 90-100 masks out of this reel, for a cost of about $.15/mask. That seems like a good deal to me.I do not like masks with short ear loops (they just slide off my ears) but I don't think this elastic would work as well for ear loops. It is a little rough, and possibly not stretchy enough. But it was just what I needed for my design, and it arrived promptly.

The color is perfect. But when it says stretchy it means stretchy. I bought this for a travelers notebook and the elastic is too stretchy to hold the inserts any better than the thin elastic from the dollar store. I really like the color and will try it for the closure but i don't know that it's strong enough. If i can find the right beads, it should work for summer beach jewelry.

Just as good as the other product I have been using but that increased in price by about 300%.

I like everything about this elastic cord, and there's lots of it on the spool! I highly recommend and will buy again if I ever use up this spool.

I bought 2 rolls on two different ocassions with the intention of making masks for donation. My decision to purchase was based on reviews written by other who bought the product. Looking back, all the reviews were inaccurate. Yes it stretches but you can only stretch it once. While the rubber core remains somewhat pliable for a few more stretches but the outer covering does not stretch with the rubber core. It in fact breaks apart and disintegrates., leaving you a with little black flakes. At first, I thought I just got a bad roll on the first purchase. And It was past the return period. So, I bought another roll. It was the same. Further, both rolls seems to be remnants. They were pieces knotted together instead of a continuous string. I should have written sooner but I got too busy and had to hurry to make up the time I lost due to the Mandala Elastic cord. Would not buy anything from Mandala ever again!
