So far, so excellent
A just-too-quick wave filled the charging socket with sand on my wife's Samsung Galaxy S7. We tried to blow out, shake out, tap out, and pick out the sand, but the port was just inoperable. We went to the wireless provider store, where, after some further ineffective attempts to fix the socket, they suggested a new phone. Then one of the reps said, "Why don't you just use a wireless charger? They are only $40." I thought that was a good idea, but wife nixed it.When we returned home, I went to the local wireless store, where they offered a brand-name wireless charger for $60. I declined and went home to Amazon. After several hours of research, I bought three Alpatronix CX102 chargers. I have all three installed and working. They are well designed, well made, attractive and, of course, functional. And they are among the lowest priced chargers currently available. The descriptions of these chargers are often confusing, so here is a brief clarification:1. Wireless chargers are called wireless because you don't need to plug the phone in to anything. You simply place the phone on the charging pad and the phone will charge. The phone must have an internal, inductive charging capability. Samsung and Apple phones as well as many others have this capability. You can google your phone withe a question to find out if it supports wireless charging. (Does my Xoompa phone support wireless charging?)2. The charging pad must be plugged into a USB wall connector, which is not supplied with the pad. You can use the wall adapter that you use every day to charge your phone. The Alpatronix CX102, like most of the other charging pads, comes with the pad and a USB cable.3. Speed of charging is determined by the wall adapter and by the phone's capability. If you have one of those swap meet $5 adapters, you will get a 5 watt charging speed on most any phone. If you have an iPhone, and if you use the Apple adapter, you will get a 7.5 watt charging speed. If you own a Samsung Galaxy phone, you will get a 10 watt charging speed. Selection and switching are automatic.4. To use. plug the USB cable into the charging pad and into the adapter and then plug the adapter into a wall outlet. A green light will come on, indicating that the pad is ready. Place your phone on the pad. The green light will begin to flash. When charging is complete, the green light will return to a steady glow.I've been using the CX102 for only a couple of days, so this review will need an update at some point. But so far, these units work as well as the higher priced pad I bought first. And the Alpatronix comes with much better documentation. So far, I highly recommend them.According to the packaging, the Alpatronix CX102 meets the Qi (pronounced CHEE) open interface standard for wireless power transfer, the FCC standard for conformity and the CE European standard for safety. And it comes with a great warranty.

Great for iPhone 8 and 8 plus
Works fine for my phones. Make sure your power supply output is 2 amps and it’s plugged into its own outlet. I noticed a significant difference when I plugged my adapter into a power strip. It didnt charge nearly as fast. Also, if you have a pop socket on your case, this will show charging but the gap will make it so slow it’s not worth it. Took mine off and it charged like a champ. I clocked it at approx 7% every 10 minutes on an iPhone 8 Plus. Something fun about just placing your phone on this pad instead of using a lightning cable. Light on the side blinks when charging, solid green when charging is completed or no phone on the pad, and turns blue when phone is not in the correct position. It even keeps the phone charged at 100% if the phone is left on the pad. For the price you can’t and shouldn’t ignore this charger for iPhones.

CONVENIENT & SAVES THE CHARGING PORT
I have purchased a total of 3 these charges for my and my husband’s iPhone 11 Pro Max. We both have the same phone case with charging capabilities. The first 2, purchased 1 year ago, are still going strong, easy to use, and with no charging issues — all with the charging cases on The charger is slim and inconspicuous— it looks like a small drink coaster. I love that one can limit the wear and tear on the phone’s charging port. The 3rd charger, purchased 8 months ago has been more finicky and required exact placement. Over time, despite confirming exact placement, the phone would be found non-charged in the morning or would go on&off throughout the night. As the charger is still under warranty, it will be going back. (The “Extended warranty” was easy to set up — I don’t know how easy it is to use, as I am still under the original 1 Year Warranty.) I will update if there are any issues with the replacement charger.

Would recommend!
**Updated Review**Within a day of posting my original review, the seller contacted me to let me know the issues I was experiencing was due to not having the correct plug in adapter and answered all my questions/concerns. I completely missed that requirement. Since I’ve gotten the correct plug in adapter the charger has worked great. Very friendly, customer service-oriented seller! Thank youCheap and easy to use BUT super slow charge time for iPhone, however, charges android products quickly. Got it for my iPhone not my wife’s android.

Whining Noise
This charger works well, does what it needs to do but it makes a high pitch whining noise when charging. I tried contacting the company but they gave me the runaround multiple times. I think this is some cheaply made electronics that works at a mediocre level.

Randomly stops charging
The product would randomly just stop charging in the middle of the night or after 20 minutes to an hour laying on the charger . As a business owner I need my phone starting at 4 AM so to wake up to it being dead just really pushed my buttons. I gave it three days and I even got a phone cover that said it was compatible with all cordless chargers.

Works with Otter Box phone case
This charger works great with my Galaxy S9 with an Otter Box case. Phone says it is fast charging when on the charger. Sometimes I do have to reposition the phone to start charging, but it does charge well through the phone case. There is a small LED light, but the phone covers it up while charging so it does not light up my bedroom at night. The cord that comes with it is fairly short, so I'm using a long USB cord, which works better. It's the only wireless charger I've ever had, so I can't compare it to another one. It works great for me, and the price was a real bargain.
