Alright, i am a shiumano freak. But i needed some catfish reels that had a clicker and not a brick or stupid expensive. I tried abu garcia and daiwa, needless gto say i sent them back. I found these and i am amazed. The clicker is solid, it holds great in heavy current. The castability is wowiung. I have been using caitcast reels for 30 years. I have all types and shiumano is the king untiul now. These kastking kasttan blew my mind. My fiurst cast i threw a 2 oz weight and i went so far in the trees i had to break my luine. I have 2 of them and they cast so good, backlashs are rare. Even when you snap your line with heavy weight. I have had these for a few months now. I have caught around 100 fish on these and 20 over 20 pounds and one 35 pounder. I have themn on ugly stik catfish rod 7’. Great setup. The drag is unreal, cranking big fish up in river current is a breeze. These reels are truely solid. I don’t carfe for the centrifugal force brakes ussually but this reels system works amazing. I mean it is really impressive. I fish alot like 4 times a week on average. I had serious doubts when i got these, but now i have 3 of the eagle spinning reels for myu boys to which are also great. These reels are really nice to for me cause i hate round reels,, you the benfit of an oversize low profile with big boy pants on. It is east yo cast with, clicker is awesome, drag is as advertised, cranking is as smooth as my shumanos, i have 50lb mono on thses, i am not a braid guy, it holds more than enough for bank river fishing and pier fishing. I did try braid on one. It casted awesome, no issues and you can hold alot of line, i just don’t care for uit, i fish rocky areas and it is not as abrasive resistent as big game trilene. Long story short, buy them if it fits your needs worth it. I plan on buying a standard low profile also to try out for bass fishing. Anyone who is complaiuning about these just is not expierienced with baitcasters or fishing.

This product was exactly what I was looking for. I purchased an extra heavy muskie casting rod and was looking for a heavy duty baitcasting reel to put on it. My initial research sent me in the direction of the Shimano Tranx, but the larger variants of that reel are hundreds and hundreds of dollars. While I am certain the Tranx is a quality product, I began to search for something less expensive. This brought me to the KastKing KAPSTAN 300. I already own 3 KastKing reels and they are all great so I knew that this reel would be worth it. It arrived in less than 24 hours, was well packaged and is exactly what I was expecting. I have yet to use the reel, but I have no doubt that it will exceed my expectations after using my other KK reels. With 35 pounds of drag and plenty of room to spool heavy braid, this reel is everything I wanted . Now I just need to get a Muskie on the line.

Haven't used it yet but off the bad the line weight reminder isn't set right so it arrow won't point to the number, only in-between.The line guide is very loose and wobbly, causing the line to build up on the left side of the spool unevenly. Besides all that, the reel feels smooth, holds a ton of line, and looks nice. Probably my last Last King product. Glad I didn't buy a more expensive reel from them if this is one of their best. Will report back if there is any issues, overall, not super impressed. Should have just got another speed spool.Edit: after breaking this is, it's a good reel. I'm glad I got it. Has handled some big cats and is a great reel for my big swimbait set up.2nd Edit:The reel mow makes some concerning clicking noises when casting. Havent noticed any issues bescides that, but I am on alert and have a different reel in my cart in anticipation of failure. Hopefully it won't fail on a big fish!

Just bought my second one last week as it’s on sale now. With 35#s of drag, it may seem like overkill but the confidence you have is amazing. Will use in saltwater as well as I don’t like spinning reels. Whose idea was it anyway to put the handle on the left when 90% of the public is right handed? Anyway, this reel outcast all of my other 9 Kastking reels by far, maybe because of the wider spool? This is the best $100 reel you could possibly buy, so don’t miss out on today’s sale.

This is the worst reel I have ever owned. I’ve been bass fishing for 45 years, and I’ve never come across a reel that is so difficult to dial in. No matter what I do, it gets a backlash on almost every cast.

Absolute unit of a reel. Very loud clicker, super strong drag. Audible spool and star drag. Very easy to adjust. Some people are hesitant to try kastking products because of the price but I have bought multiple products and have not had one bad experience with them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
