Don't often write reviews even though I often need to return items because of wrong size or not up to par quality. This time, Im just frustrated. I bought a Cowboys Studio 43" gold photo umbrella back in 2014. It is still in excellent condition, good quality, good reflection, smooth good reflective surface both for the light and it also looks GREAT!Forward to 2022, wanted to have an additional umbrella exactly the same so I chose to use the buy it again feature on Amazon. This is a Cowboy Studio produce but sold directly through Amazon.com LLC which puts the whole responsibility on Amazon. It arrived quickly as usual, but upon opening the box I could already tell it was not the right size. It is at best 40" in diameter which is a huge difference in this type of product. The inside reflective material looked like someone had crumbled a piece of aluminum and stretched it out again. Very bad reflective material. I wish in their effort to ship things out quickly Amazon would not forego any sort of quality control. Very disappointing.

I have a gold reflector that is wonderful when you have someone to hold it. Had a hunch this would work too when on location with no sun. Puts the tan on Senior portraits that they all like. I do feel sorry for the reviewer who spent $21 in shipping for this $10 item. I happened to be offered a 30-day Prime trial, which means free shipping, and ordered a bunch of inexpensive Chinese-made flashes, transmitter/receivers, etc. As a 30-year pro, it is stunning, by the way, that you can buy knock-off Nikon flashes, knock-off Pocket Wizards, knock-off motor drives and other necessities that we need for 10 to 20 percent of the cost I have always paid. I am not afraid or ashamed to say I am doing it. I can spend the money saved on Nikon glass or bodies, or college for the kids.

I received the umbrella and it is everything described. It will do what I want it to by reflecting and accenting the light. With some care on my part I should be able to use this umbrella for years to come and will probably buy one more in the coming weeks. If you are looking for a descent Gold reflective umbrella this should satisfy your requirements at a low cost.

Very good quality for the price... it's a sturdy shaft, well made umbrella with good seams on the fabric. I do a lot of location shooting, and tend to go through umbrella modifiers a bit heavily (they are usually my choice if conditions are windy or poor). It's good to find a well made one for not too much money. The gold inner fabric is rather light and all things being equal, I might lean towards something a bit deeper in shade, but everyone will have their own preferences in those regards.

It's pretty good I just wished I went with a slightly larger sized one.. Now for a little concerns about it.. the rod that goes to your light setup be careful not to screw too hard down on the rod because it's just a hallow tube and you can see the indents of where you have the screw at to hold the umbrella in place.

I was surprised by just how MUCH gold this umbrella adds to video shoots. Wow. I'm still playing with it, trying to add a TOUCH of warmth, but I sometimes feel like I have to put this light in the other room. Ha. That's one way to say the umbrella does what it is supposed to do, obviously. But it is something to consider.

Works as hoped and a nice reasonably constructed alternative to big dollar versions. Great for a grab & go kit, occasional use or if you want something to use everyday for 6-months or so...might last forever but won't know unless I use it all the time, which I won't. All in all I'm happy with this one for sure.
