Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Case S View Flip Cover Folio - Black

I've debated over getting this case ever since I put the order in for a Galaxy Note 3. I'm glad I finally decided to bite the bullet and order this case. Real functionality and Style. Couple that with the discount you can get this case for on Amazon and it's a done deal. What are you waiting for? You won't regret it. I've gone through several different cases, looking for "the one". Heh. Almost every case I've tried adds too much bulk to the phone, even the "slim/super slim" ones. This case, however, cheats... somewhat. LOL. It's technically not a "case", but a replacement battery cover that has the front cover attached to it. When you open the cover, the phone wakes up. When you close it, it goes to sleep. Simple, right? So simple, but oh so convenient. Never again will you fumble to unlock your screen to receive a call. Actually, you don't even need to open the cover. Just swipe the call button on the outer window. Viola! Call answered. No need to open the cover to continue your phone call either, due to the PERFECTLY aligned earpiece cutout. The stitching around the edges of this item are real. It's actually stitched leather.. wow. (Maybe it's just really, really good imitation leather...But, nonetheless... real stitching!) One thing I suggest is to get an unused screen protector, cut it out to the dimensions of the outer window, and apply. Saves you the worry of thinking about scratching the outer window. If this one breaks/falls apart, I'd definitely get another one.

Very happy with it. Easy to carry and retains slim/compact feel. Allows quick and easy access for using camera and answering phone, though it does feel a little strange speaking into the case with the cover closed and sometimes feels a little awkward when the cover is open and flipped back. Any negativity is outweighed by its overall functionality, screen/body protection, and stylish look. It doesn't have the flack jacket-like protection a case like an Otter Box does, but it allows me to comfortably carry it in my front pants pocket or inner breast pocket of a sports/suit jacket and still give the phone added physical protection.

I bought this unit to replace the defective chip in another S-View case. I decided to at least try this one on my phone first before I put it to scrap. Thankfully so. This case looks good. Much better (and far more comfortable to hold) than the other clunky case that (attemptedly) offered the same functionality.This case affixes to the back of the phone, simply replacing the pleather back that comes standard with the Note 3. It offers rather solid protection for the screen when closed (and rigged to stay closed to protect in the event of an accidental fall). The S-Pen access on this case is also very easy, especially for someone like myself with such large hands. However, with that said, it must also be noted that the protection of this case only goes so far. The top, bottom, and right side of the phone are just as nearly exposed as they are without a protective case. The edges of the case jut out just enough to offer a minor buffer, but not enough to classify it as protective.It has a very classy look and is a great way to showcase a beautiful phone. The reason for the 4 star here is simple. There is no system in place on this case to keep it closed or prevent it from opening in the event of a fall. As other consumers have stated, there is a simple solution to this in the form of a magnetic clip. This item is very easy to find and when combined with this case makes an outstanding combo for a near perfect and professional case.

I've had the case for a week now. I love it! It feels more like leather than the original battery cover. The front seems to stay closed, for the most part, when I set it down. Sometimes it flops open a little bit when I've held it open for a long time. The edges protrudes a little bit to give it a notebook feel which I really love. Great design and functionality. Makes the phone slightly more bulky, but I imagine is the more slender than the majority of cases.
