I wasn’t sure what to expect with this blanket and upon picking up the package was actually worried as felt so heavy but once you actually take the blanket out and spread the blanket wasn’t as heavy as I feared.It is quite strange to begin with and took a few days until I was totally used to the feeling of the blanket on me.Even in first few days it was quite a nice reassuring feeling from the blanket and after you get used to the weight is actually very comforting feeling.I sleep alone because I suffer with broken sleep and used to make unsafe for husband to work as hgv driver after been woken constantly through the night by me waking and getting up.My sleep pattern actually improved I was sleeping for 3/4 hours solid and even when I woke I wasn’t getting out of bed and up.I would just lay in the bed and gradually nod back off.I can’t say 100% without a doudt the improvement was due to blanket but personally I think the blanket played big part if not totally cause of improvement in sleep.I knew these blankets are meant to be great help for autism and serious anxiety and I can totally understand why.They give you a very comforting feeling and in my case when waking that feeling was enough to stop me getting up and waking mind totally so was able to lay relaxed and drift back to sleep.The blankets are a small investment but they are so worth that intial spend and once you have owned and used the blanket for week or so you will realise cheap even at double the price

UPDATED REVIEWAt first i didnt like it mainly as getting the cover on took an hour but after using it for a few weeks i can say it was worth it...i sleep amazingly and i dont get too hot or cold....oddly enough the minute my cat lays on top of it she falls asleep aswell must be a comfort thingSo ive used this for 1 night so far and slept amazingly the reason for the 4 stars is it was a complete mare to get it in the cover took me an hour and still not in fully and really hurt my arms as its very heavy obvc. It moves when i sleep but it does have ties inside to tie it to the cover which im going to sort....i dont feel trapped like i thought i would which is nice and really helped my anxiety etc

I must admit having researched weighted blankets for children and their benefits, I decided to purchase one for myself. I chose an Odyseaco 9kg one. It took me a couple of days to get used to the weight but I have to admit my sleep pattern improved. It is best explained as "having a hug," which may not be everyone's cup of tea.The weighted blanket arrived promptly and encased in a zipped bag complete with a cover for the blanket. It felt smooth and "duvet like" despite having small glass beads inside the pockets to provide the weighted aspect. I thought that as I toss and turn throughout the night the blanket would most probably end up on the floor but no it stayed mostly in place. It is an expensive outlay but my own personal experience has been a positive and beneficial one, I would recommend the Odyseaco weighted blanket to others.

These blankets are good in the sense they feel like hugging. I tried to use it for a while. But it is not so warm. And I required another duvet on top to keep it warm. The weight of blanket itself is very much which makes it difficult to bear during the night.

Got the 160x200cm 9kg blanket and found my nights are a lot better when I sleep. Gives me a nice level of security and comfort, while not getting too hot. It's a little tricky putting the cover on, but if you have a routine for putting a cover on your duvet, you can apply same routine, but use the ties to secure it.

I was sceptical about this as it was only recommended to me by many Redditors. After using this I found it to be amazing! The heavy blanket kind of locks you in place to stop you moving around when you sleep. Nice and warm. Would recommend this to anyone.

Having suffered from sleep problems for years, I can honestly say this blanket has made such a difference. I have always taken a long time to get to sleep and had previously awoken several times through the night. I am now able to fall asleep within a short space of time and stay asleep throughout the night. It feels like a full body hug when the blanket is on. I was worried that it might make me feel too hot but it’s absolutely perfect. I can’t recommend this blanket enough!

Mit der Decke sind wir sehr zufrieden. Der erhoffte Entspannungseffekt beim Schlafen konnten wir tatsächlich feststellen. Das Gewicht der Decke ist gleichmäßig verteilt und die Qualität der Decke verspricht eine hohe Lebensdauer. Die mitgelieferte Abdeckung und das verwendete Material in der Decke sind angenehm und erlauben, meiner Erfahrung nach, ein angenehmer Schlaf auch bei höheren Temperaturen. Die mitgelieferte Abdeckung wird an der Decke innen an sechs Punkten befestigt, so dass ein verrutschen der Decke unter der Abdeckung nicht möglich ist. Insgesamt ein sehr empfehlenswertes Produkt!

Es hat einige Zeit gedauert bis ich mich daran gewöhnt habe eine Decke mit 9kg auf mir drauf zu haben. Inzwischen schlafe ich nur noch mit ihr wirklich gut. Mein Sohn, 7 Jahre alt, schläft mir ihr aufgrund seines schlechten Schlafs auch viel besser durch und hat sie aktuell Vereinnamt. Muss ich mir wohl eine zweite holen.Im Sommer ist diese Decke an sich ausreichend und sogar perfekt. Sehr dünn, schwer und aber auch kühl. Sie speichert kaum Wärme. Man kommt damit also nicht ins schwitzen, selbst wenn man testweise mit Kleidung darunter liegt.Zum Winter hin habe ich deshalb erstmal eine dünne Wolldecke mit in den Überzug hinein gelegt. Das hatte aber nicht gereicht und es war einfach zu kalt. Und dabei bin ich der letzte der friert, sich nen Pulli anzieht oder gar bibbert. Jedoch wenn in der Nacht der Kreislauf im Sparmodus läuft, ist das selbst für mich zu kühl weshalb das ganze auf meine eigentliche Decke drauf gelegt wird. Passt. Warm und schwer.Somit von meiner Seite her zu empfehlen.Zu dem "verrutschen" der Glasperlen im Inneren. Ja, es sind Glasperlen. Es ist rund und kullert nunmal. Um das weitestgehend zu verhindern, müssten tausende Kammern genäht werden. Halte ich nicht für praktikabel und auch nur bedingt umsetzbar. Vermutlich fügen andere Hersteller einen Füllstoff mit ein um sowas weitestgehend zu vermindern.Der beigelegte Überzug ist Super. Sollte jedoch m.M.n. nicht über 40° gewaschen und über den Trockner getrocknet werden. Ist bei mir eingegangen und passt nicht mehr. Erfahrungswerte, Mann lernt draus.

Damit lässt sich sehr gut schlafen.

Was mich positiv Überrascht hat war, dass ein Überzug mitgeliefert wurde und auch das Preis Leistungsverhältnis war sehr gut. Mein Schlaf hat sich, seit ich die Decke habe auch verbessert. Ich bin in jeder Hinsicht positiv Überrascht worden und kann für mich sagen, dass es eine sehr gute Investition war.

I wanted to try one for a long time.I chose this one because of the coton fabric.I took the 9kg one and it's really a game changer for my nights.I appreciate that it comes with a separate zipped cover that you can wash.It helps me move less during my sleep.At first it seems heavy, but now it's almost like I don't feel it.
