Outperforms other stainless steel hoses I've tried
UPDATE: Sept 2025. My first Tardigrade hose (50 foot) has gone through a couple of years of heavy daily use, and is still performing perfectly. I've been so pleased with it that I picked up another (100 foot) a year ago which has also been working great. Will be getting a third one! Original review: I've tried a few stainless hoses and, while they delivered with regard to ease of use, they failed when it came to either build quality or performance (water delivery flow). This one has been a winner so far in both categories. The weakest link in a SS hose tends to be the ends. It's critical that they are made well since, unlike a conventional hose, if it breaks you can't repair it. This has good quality brass end surrounds that are nice and solid. It makes for a more durable design than the usual plastic surrounds. The connectors are also well-machined. I've had zero leakage. The flow rate is much better than the usual SS hose. While it still is less than a conventional 5/8 inch hose, the flow rate is more than fine for most tasks. I use this mostly for garden watering, and the time it takes to put down the water that is needed is only slightly greater than when I use a 5/8 hose. You can't beat a SS hose for preventing kinks, ease of handling, and abrasion resistance. It's perfect for my needs since I'm always pulling the hose over brick retaining walls. Conventional hoses always would get hung up or get abraded, but the SS hose just glides through smooth as can be. An excellent value for the price, and the best SS hose I've come across so far. Five stars.

Well madehose
I’ve tried so many of those light weight inflatable hoses and each year Im replacing them. Finally I found this hose which is lightweight and very well made. I haven’t had one issue with it. Worth the price.

Love/Hate relationship with this hose!
Edited to 5 stars for excellent customer support! We have had two hoses break in the exact same place. See photo. I love the lightweight ease of use with these hoses. It makes dragging a hose around the yard so easy, when you have a bum wrist. It doesn’t get caught up on obstacles and doesn’t tangle. If you turn off the water and let the hose drain as you wind it up on the hose reel, it makes it so lightweight, flexible and easy to reel in! As sturdy as they are, in our opinion, it should last longer than one season. Our hose is taken in the house during winter months. They are a bit expensive if they are only going to last one season. EDIT/UPDATE: We reached out to the company directly through Amazon. We were pleasantly surprised that they replaced our hose even though we were just a few days past the ONE year warranty! All in all we absolutely love these hoses! We unhook them from our spray wand every time we use them, thinking this would help longevity. We truly hope the company can make them a bit stronger on the ends so this doesn’t continue to happen. We will continue to buy them because the benefits out weigh the old heavy rubber hoses that kink!

Pleasantly surprised
I'm giving four stars because it's too early to know how dependable this hose will prove to be. I've only had it a month and a half. Winter-time use in Arizona is a fraction of what it is in the hotter months. Take it as a positive that I'm writing this and kept the hose! I do like it. There were a number of complaints about it being noisy. Just to tell you, I am exceptionally sensitive to noise. Garbage trucks backing up, bus ramps beeping as they lower, ambulance and police sirens all send me into a fetal position (well, almost). On my property I have patio stones, washed pebbles and concrete walkways to drag this over. Honestly I've had no problems whatsoever with noise, probably because I'm working outside and probably because, out of respect for the hose being a valued tool, I often carry it looped over a forearm or in a Home Depot "Homer" Bucket when moving between water taps. I have no affiliation with Home Depot, by the way, but find the Homer taller-than-usual bucket-with-a-handle very useful to store the hose in. The hose DOES tangle, but once you detach it from the water source (which you should do anyway after use), the hose is becomes docile, tractable, amenable to suggestion. Tangles can be loosened and straightened with minimal fuss. Of course this hose is not as fuss-free as a soft expandable hose, but -- form new habits, take just a bit more time, and the hose will reward you. It seems to like the circumference of the Homer pail and will wind counterclockwise inside this bucket without a struggle. There it lies, when you're all done, neat and quiet. A happy camper. Put a cover on it when it rains. On the negative side, Hose People, please give us customers a break and don't say your hose has brass fittings when it's just stainless steel (or whatever) coated with brass COLOR. Brass has WEIGHT, okay. So, fellow consumers, don't believe the marketing schtick about brass fittings. It is just as well, and probably for the best, that the hose has been constructed of metal with similar composition and weight throughout. A shoutout to the person who wrote their review from the veterinary perspective. Your testimonial sold me, not only on trying a metal hose, but on THIS hose as opposed to other brands that were running cheaper and had gadgetry thrown in. I've done animal work in a veterinary hospital; I know how tough workers are on equipment because I was one, once! Thank you for your review.
