In-laws love it!
I was landing on the page via search for "world best coffee" on Amazon. Definitely one the expensive coffee options, but I am glad I have made my purchase. It was the gift for in-law who loved Kopi Luwak. The products arrived in really nice package. In-laws are really excited to receive them too.

Gift for husband
I bought this a gift for my husbands birthday. He is so fussy over his coffee usually that I was worried he wouldn’t like this one and after all it is rather expensive!! Turns out he loves it, he said it was delicious.

Amazing
Very pleased with these beans, they make a superb brew. This is the best coffee I have tasted for while, the smell and taste is excellent. Not cheap at all but I am already saving up for my next batch...

A cut above your regular grind
Brews super smooth, used a cafetiere rather than the recommended siphon method, but still the best coffee I've had.

Unlike any other!
I read an article about this online and I liked the fact that the proceeds go towards elephant conversation and supporting the local Thai community (as well as the fact that it was created by a fellow Canadian). I bought one package to serve at a special occasion, since one package makes about 5 espresso cups. I'm not a coffee connoisseur but it was definitely the most uniquely-flavoured coffee I've ever tried! It smelled almost perfume-like and tasted like a tea-coffee hybrid, without the bitterness that I've come to expect from my typical morning cup. It's definitely worth a try if you want to experience something completely unique with a fascinating (and somewhat eye-popping) backstory, all while supporting a great cause.

Earthy Flavour, Unique Coffee
This coffee is really something else. (The Rarest & Most Expensive Coffee in The World - Fresh & Exotic Whole Roasted Coffee Beans Made from 100% Thai Arabica Coffee Naturally Refined, Naturally Expensive - Ideal Gift - Pack of 35g.). It's so unique and would also make a great (if expensive) gift for that hard-to-buy for person. It comes so beautifully and chicly packaged in sleek black, with an information sheet included. Great touch! I can't say I would be drinking this daily even if I could afford it, however. It's got a different, earthy flavour to it that I've never tasted before. It could be one of those acquired taste things. But it's a really neat offering and a once-in-a-lifetime experience to try this coffee.

The beans go through a fermentation process that enhances their flavor, resulting in a smooth and complex taste with notes of chocolate and earthy undertones. Although it is limited in availability, Black Ivory Coffee can be enjoyed as whole beans or ground for French press, drip or pour over. It is a must try for coffee enthusiasts looking for something new and different

Terrible. I must be drinking something else
Looking at the other comments here, I feel like I'm trying a different product.Everyone can brag how they love coffee, know their coffees have tried so many, but in the end, it's still a subjective experience, assuming you know how to properly extract the coffee.I've trained a few people in the proper use of various espresso machines, so I took a gamble on the grind settings for this Black Ivory coffee and was almost spot on. You only get 35g of beans, which is just about two double shots of espresso (if you figure one double shot is 17g of ground coffee). The roast of the beans was surprisingly not too dark. I would say almost a med-dark. I prefer medium because you get a livelier acidity, more fruitiness out of the beans rather than the over done burnt caramel/chocolate/smokiness of dark roasts. These beans were also not too bad as far as oiliness goes.It was ever so slightly under extracted, but I still got a great uniform colored crema. The coffee beans have a very distinct dung aroma which I was hoping would not remain after extraction.Boy was I disappointed. The flavor of the coffee is overwhelmed by the dung. There was nothing impressive with the flavors once you get over the dung scent. It is not bitter, which is great, but the flavors are seriously nothing compared to my usual beans which leave a lovely lingering flavor. My wife is usually game to try just about anything, and after a sip of the espresso, didn't even want to try it once I made it a latte. Just as bad.I really feel like the other reviewers here got a different coffee than me. It's almost shocking.I really want to go one star, but I'll leave it at two.

Definitely a conversation starter!
If cost is not a concern, I guess this could be a cool gift for a true coffee lover. My husband and I gave it a try and it tastes ok but not the best we've had.A few friends had made us promise to let them try it. They liked it but not enough to pay the price.
