Briggs and Stratton 8BS50 Premium Heavy-Duty Rubber Garden Hose, Black, 50-Foot

I am in the UK. This is an excellent quality garden hose made in N. America hence it uses GHT threads instead of "British Standard"thread ( which are tapered). If you buy this hose , search amazon for quick hose connectors with the term (GHT threads) and NOT just say fits all "Garden Hoses". It needs the term "Garden Hose Threads" , with threads being the key word after the words garden hose..... Hope this helps everyone .... its easily available on amazon uk if you pay attention to the words i mentioned . Cheers

Lovely strong hose but it is proving impossible to find suitable fittings to allow me to use it with my existing UK standard push on fittings for the spray gun. I would appreciate it if anyone could offer any advice

On returning to the UK after many years in the USA, I was horrified by the plastic, cheap-and-nasty-but-ridiculously-expensive "never kink" (oh yes they do) garden hoses on sale here. Had to import one of these rubber hoses that I'd become used to using. This is the second one - now I can reach all the garden with no water block caused by folds in the pipe. Strong, flexible, and really does not kink. Ever.

I bought this hose for its high reviews. However, this hose is extremely heavy and it always bends and stops water when slightly moved. Also the fittings are not threaded well. I couldn’t fit anything to the other end. Bottom line, it may be robust but it’s setup and usability is a huge pain. Highly overrated.

100% what I was looking for. Real rubber , high grade When it kinks because all hoses do it’s super easy to get out. Zero memory for kinks Some people commented on the hose leaving some black on your hands when you wrap the hose up but to me that’s good because it confirmed this was a good hose made with real rubber. Green house / industrial grade This is the kind of hose that you can kink for pressure changes while using and not worry about damaging the hose. I’m sure this hose will last me a good 30 years! All hoses I could buy in town are garbage modern materials hoses. When modern hoses kink the hose is damaged and the kick spot is permanent. Half the time their damaged on the shelf before anybody even buys them. Others are to soft and kink way to easy.
