Undeniably parrot approved.
My cockatiels and lovebirds absolutely love these. Although I am a bit confused about whether they are actually healthy or just a treat. How much pellet is actually being consumed?

PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW
The birds that are used to seeds won't touch them! but seed diet alone is not healthy! birds need pellets for a complete diet nutrition. What you do is take the pellets grind them in a coffee grinder. Put some powder vitamin or probiotic powder for better yet. Take millets spray seeds out of the stem and throw them in the mix, as well as 10% amount of regular seeds, warm some water in microwave and put in the mixture making it into a paste, then with you hands make little balls that look like treats and keep in fridge. My birds won't touch the pellets but if I grind them and make them into treats by adding some millet spray and few seeds they now believe it to be a delicacy and love eating the treats! Now they like the pellets more than the seeds alone! You're welcome!

Good nutrition!
My cockatiel is turning 20 this year and part of his good health is from good, solid nutrition. My avian vet has recommended Lafebers nutriberries and pellets for years, and the results speak for themselves. The tub for storage is great and I wish Lafebers would use that for all of their products.

My lovebirds enjoy eating these pellets
I have 2 lovebirds, both just stared at me first while the other also started screaming. After a couple of hours they realized it's not something out of the ordinary, took a bite, and now they continue to eat these. Tried them myself too as I always do with new bird pellets I buy (bound to get sick at some point, lol). Doesn't taste like fruit cereal or anything that's too sugary. Very plain, good healthier option if you dislike the colors some bird pellets have. They are also not too hard, was super easy for me to chew so I would assume birds would absolutely have no issue eating these. Was about to buy parakeet pellets from this brand, as my birds prefer small pellets. But these are not big, pretty small. If these are small then the parakeet one is probably slightly smaller? This pellet size is just right for medium size birds.

Always dependable, and thank you for the extra perk!
Lefebers quality is well known. Five stars. But for the seller, five stars, too!! It may seem minor, but the 2024-2025 calendar was a nice, very useful, surprise. Durable and perfect size. Thank you!!

Short "best by" period
Product is very healthy for our bird, and he eats it readily. I don't think we would consider feeding him anything different. However, we ordered this large tub, as we usually do, and the "best by" date is only 5 months into the future (July of this year). The tub we bought last time had a "best by" date that is 3 months longer than the one we just bought (October of this year). With only one bird, it is unlikely we will use it up before the expiry of the "best by” date.

Great diet for cockatiels
Great diet for cockatiels! My cockatiel was raised on seeds so a few years in when her liver starting getting fatty, my avain vet had me switch to nutriberries. She did not like the transition as they were too large for her so he told me to chop blend them so she could eat them. I did this fora couple years and she seemed to like them but her liver continued to decline slowly with no answers from my vet. Super concerned, I brought her to a new avian vet, which at this point she pretty much had liver cancer. The reason she was declining was because the vet who had told me to chop the nutriberries was really bad advice bc they are covered in seed and she was basically just picking those off. The new vet gave me great advice on how to transition her to pellets as she refused them right away. I held the bag and pretended to eat them myself, so of course she wanted what I wanted. After many times of me telling her no she can't have any, I'd throw her some and over a month, she was totally into them. I stated with Harrisons and then zupreem to see what she'd like best, but these were the winner. With medical trearment and this pellet, her liver has fully recovered and she is a happy nine year old cockatiel for the last few years and many more to come!!

Senior Cockatiel Approved
My 20+ year old cockatiel loved the Lafeber Senior Nutri-Berries for years until he recently had issues with choking on the seeds and grains. I was happy to find that Lafeber makes seedless cockatiel food. My senior cockatiel LOVES these pellets. There was no stressful transitional period either. He just switched right over with no issues. These pellets are the right size for cockatiels. Not too small, and not too big. Just right. No choking issues as well. Thank you Lafeber for your high quality products.
