Don't waste you money
When you open the box the instructions are minimal, just a few pictures and a few words on setup. However, these do actually work, and getting it all running was quite easy. Then it goes downhill. The only way you can turn the tracker on or off is to install or remove the battery. There is a rubber strap thingy for putting it onto the dog’s collar that is best described as heath robinson. There is an LED on the end that either flashes or is steady, and changes from purple to green or red. The problem is that nowhere does it tell you what this all means. The charger has a built in USB connector but the lead is only a few inches long and is way to short. Then try to find out where the dog is using the app. If you ask it to update it can take minutes. It will then, sometimes, update every 30 seconds or so. However, most of the time you have to manually ask for another update and then wait more minutes. When it does eventually give you a position this is at least fairly accurate. When the dog is close, the app will detect the tracker using Bluetooth and then tell you she is nearby. This is not really a lot of use because if the dog is within Bluetooth range she is usually on the lead. It’s probably not the Vodafone signal used by the tracker because I have a Voda sim in my phone that has 3-4 bars at the same time and place as the tracker. Then there is the battery. Charge it, plug it all in and app say 2 days left. Great! Set off on a walk and try to find the dog and suddenly it's down to a day. Then....10 minutes later... a low battery warning. Either the battery life is rubbish or the software that measures life is rubbish or both. Either way it's really not very good. Also, there is an option to get the tracker to record position for later uploading to the app but trying to turn this on or off is random and usually takes many attempts and yet more minutes. When it works it's fine but getting it to work is the hard bit.Altogether a very very poor device, especially when you consider at the cost.

Ok, but slow.
Got the pod for my dog that likes to go off on a scent. We haven’t had to use it for finding him yet thankfully. We have used it about 5-6 times so far and we are little disappointed with its performance. It takes 10-15 minutes for the tracker to turn on adventure mode sometimes it doesn’t even work! Really annoying, we have decent signal and it’s clear GPS so don’t have a clue why it wouldn’t work.To add to this I have contacted the support team three time’s with no response at all.So yeah easy to use, not very reliable. Would like to test it to find my dog but probably not to be on the safe side!

Good dog activity, bad for tracking
Easy to setup and use and looks good. On activity mode it does what it says on the tin. Tracks there play, walks and rest but doesn't track where they go. On adventure mode it works great as a tracker but kills the battery in 2 hours, didnt even make it around our sunday walk. Tried both batteries, both the same. To get an accurate location on normal mode you have to refresh the map, which takes about a minute to get the location by which point my dogs moved.Sent back for a refund to try a different device.

impressive device !!!
This product is insanely good. A sim card inside means coverage anywere. i can be the other side of the world and aslong as it has signal i will pick up it up anywere. This is attatched to my dog and he does like to have a nose outside the gate and things it does pick it up not straight away but within 30secs to a minute my phone will beep and will say hes left the home zone.i recommend this to anyone wanting to keep up with where there dog is. to me it was a gadget but its a great tool and works very good. the app is easy to use and you can have many safe zones. You can click on location and it will go live for 2mins on gps where you can actually see your dog move.the only issue i have is the battery life literally one in the day one for the night its a good job it comes with 2. but if the battery goes when its charged up theres no need to sync it all back up it works like it should straight away. i have a cocker spaniel and it doesnt look stupid on his collar now any dog smaller i think it would look out of place.this is a great gadget and does the job i dont know of any other device as good as this one. im glad i got mine for £50 on offer i still think the vodafone website are still doing it for £55. Dont forget this will cost you £4 a month to use but you can cancel at anytime with vodafone.

Sorry, but this simply does not work in Cambridgeshire...
This was for our lurcher who would typically like to be chasing wildlife in the next county and has no concept of the word "here girl". Quite a chunky device, but she is a big chunky dog, so it's OK for her.First one received was faulty (said "flat battery" even when fully charged) so was returned for a replacement. The replacement worked as per the instructions, but even though Vodafone said our coverage is fine, it had difficulty connecting to the GSM network. When out and about, it would maybe connect to the network perhaps once an hour. Not a lot of use if your dog legs it.Bluetooth connection worked OK, but being told that your dog is next to you is again not a lot of use. This second unit has been returned for refund.Perhaps Vodafone could sort out their basic coverage instead of investing tons of money into higher speed data networks in places that presumably already have good coverage. My view is that pet tracking device technology is simply not there yet, so my lurcher now has a second collar with detailed name tags, in case the collar with the lead comes off.Note for the conspiracy theorists - Amazon said that they did not have stock and there would be a 4-week wait, then in both deliveries they suddenly found one and sent it to me the same day. So maybe I had two faulty returned units - but life is too short for me to sort this product out for them.

Probably won't work until the app is fixed.
Didnt work the first time when I tried to register the sim card, can't even load and see the plan options. And the second time I tried the contract expired. Giving 1 star is being nice.
