This kit makes a nice set of ramps.
Installation is straightforward. The only issue I saw was with the rubber pieces that go over the end of the board. As you can see in the picture the opening is too small and when the board is pushed into it the rubber the ends flair out (see picture). I cut about a 1/4" off both edges at a 45 degree angle and put two stainless steel screws in the rubber ends to hold the rubber down and keep the rubber end from coming off the board. I'm also going to add non-slip tape to the boards.

Easy to Assemble / Turns a 2 Man Lift into a 1 Man Operation
Works great. I’m using US standard pressure treated 2 x 8 lumber, the aluminum extrusions match up just fine. If I was to do it over, I probably would have gotten the set for 2 x 10 lumber, just for the extra 2 inch leeway on wheel placement. But for my limited and occasional use the 2x8 will do fine.

Gets the job done
I bought these to make ramps for getting my snowblower in and out of my truck. Super tired of picking it up by hand and heaving into the back of the truck. I bought a 10’ 2x and cut it in half. The ramps are a bit short this way, I may make them longer some day. My only gripe is the upper metal brackets don’t quite “grip” the edge of the tailgate very well and will slip off sometimes. Good product.

Nice product, if you take the time to do it right.
My kit did not come with any directions, so I did it my way. I used 8' long pressure treated 2"× 8" s. I cut a 10 degree angle on the end of the boards to fit tight up against the aluminum plate. I used a chisel to mortise the aluminum lip into the top of the plank, I also eased the bottom edge of the plank, so it would fit as tight as possible. On the rubber end, I used a chisel to make the end of the plank fit the shape of slot in the rubber. I also used 4 - #14 stainless steel screws to attach the rubber foot to the end of the plank. I used loctite on the supplied nuts and bolts.

Easy to instal and cheaper than metal ramps.
I used this for unloading a riding mower (around 250 lbs) from the back of my truck. It worked beautifully with two 8 foot pine boards, and I unloaded by myself!

You swear they won't assemble properly but they do
Like other reviewers, I was a little confused by no assembly suggestions or even a picture of the finished product so I came back to the reviews. I studied Robert Lee Allen Jr.'s post and committed to assembling my ramps the same way but I ended up needing the ramps quicker than anticipated, so I had to simply get them done. The verdict: They DO assemble correctly, as they are, without special alterations. I do dislike how the lip on the metal plate doesn't "bite" into the wood like Robert Lee Allen has his. But, with plates bolted, and stress on the plate/board, pressure squeezes it all together quite well. And the plate/board connection is fairly seamless. It isn't as pretty but it works. Same thing for the rubber feet. You don't need to saw off a small portion of your board to have the feet seat properly. Just use a rubber mallet a couple taps work them on. Then, use two or three deck/drywall/etc. screws on the other side of the feet as well. If you don't, the feet can pop off and can hang like a loose tooth. Secure them properly. The only other alteration I made was adding a fat, 4" strip of 80 grit anti slip tape. This is a must for my rainy Pacific NW climate. Other than the assembly questioning, my box was destroyed by the post office and the hardware fell out. The company sent me a $8 refund, which was fair. I went an bought strong, galvanized carriage bolts, washers and nuts which looks like they may have actually been better than what is provided in the kit. A bit of a hassle to have to purchase them but it wasn't really the sellers fault and I got a hardware upgrade. Maybe consider doing the same even if you get their hardware.
