These are sized incorrectly with no Adjustment Possible
There is only one LARGE size and these are not LARGE by any stretch. I bought them for paddle and bike gloves and they are so TIGHT as to be uncomfortable. Even if wet they would not stretch out, built that way on purpose for those who pull a lot of sheets and halyards. I used to do that, too... and no, I don't have fat or huge hands either. I have two other sets of LARGE gloves by other Brands that fit just fine.BUY SOME OTHER BRAND IF YOU NEED LARGE!!!! not the Medium these really are. MY wife has two different non Harken pair herself: these would fit her but she doesn't need them...

Quality seems good but watch the sizing
I cannot give a full review since I have not had a chance to put these gloves into use on the water and won't until spring arrives, but at first glance I'm pleased with them. They seem to have quality construction and would provide well-protected gripping surfaces, while the mesh back should keep them from getting too warm. I do find them snugger than expected and the pink finger especially is oddly tight. I got them in medium as I do not have large hands. I would caution about the sizing and error toward a larger size. The tab at the wrist opening for tugging them on is useful, but likewise pulling them off is not as easy. Again making sure they are not too small will help there.

but they seem to be of better quality construction than others I've used
I've tried several different brands of sailing gloves and they inevitably disintegrate over the course of a season. I've only had these gloves for about a month, but they seem to be of better quality construction than others I've used, and more importantly, the tough leather(-like?) material covers all of the front of the hand, so I expect these will last longer. They have excellent grip and are quite comfortable. I do have to remember the extra velcro catch inside the closure that takes a bit of extra effort to release, but that makes me confident they won't come undone on their own.

Superb Performance and Quality
GREAT water gloves.I bought these for a week-long trip down the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. They were exactly as expected: good fit, no blisters even when on the oars all day, great performance when wet.Stitching was excellent - very high quality leather and fabrics. I had zero stitch breaks. The gloves dried well overnight. I highly recommend them for any water sports.I have large hands, and ordered extra large based on the sizing recommendations. They fit perfectly. These gloves would also work well at the gym.

Great gloves
The fit was snug, the way I was hoping. It is a big hard to get on and off, but that is the fit I wanted for pulling lines. Medium fit me well. In term of surgical gloves, I am a 7.5, if that is useful for anyone. The gloves were wet, actually soaked in the middle of a storm, and the material simply dried and felt the same as out of the box. This definitely saved me from some rope burns during my first foray into sailing. The grip on lines was good and appropriate.

High quality, comfortable - but get them large enough for all your knuckles...
I have very long fingers, and I also have experienced finger-skin removal by spinnaker halyard (long story). These gloves are high quality and very comfortable -- but the XLs were just too short on the fingers, leaving the knuckle nearest the fingertips fully exposed. Get them large; I've sent these back and had to order the XXLs from another source (XXL not avail on Amazon). If your hands are perhaps normally sized, or small, these are otherwise excellent gloves.

Good for sailing, kayaking, working out or any active sport.
I have used the gloves a lot sailing. They have had a workout hauling in the main and jib even in high winds and rough seas. They offer good protection for my girly hands. The thin layer of leather started peeling off within a few months but does not compromise the integrity of the gloves.

Great gloves
I love these sailing gloves. They not only protect my hands while handling lines on my boat, but also allow for flexibility and ability to feel the lines as needed with the open finger design. I was using a closed glove before, and these gloves are definitely an improvement. I would recommend these gloves for use by sailing women.
