Avon Tire Cobra Chrome Trike Front Tire (130/70R-18)

Like many trike owners I had the michelin back tire mounted on backwards on the front. While this tire got decent mileage it rode hard..I needed to replace the tire and i decided to try the new avon chrome trike tire after reading a lot of reviews on this tire. So far I really like this tie. It is a lot softer ride and I think it steers a lot easier.I don't know about mileage yet but so far I like this tire and would recommend it plus it's the only tire out there that i know of that is designed for a trike.

This is my second Avon trike tire. If you own a trike a tire like this is important.

Perfect Trike Tire. Such an improvement over the Dunlop I had on there. Corners very well and the ride and control of the front end is now how it should be. I highly recommend this tire for your trike.

Big tread separation on the tread cap of my Avon 130/70 R18 on a recent California tour. Cost me a day of vacation and about $900 to resolve. I had 8000 miles on these tires. Very dangerous experiencing a large 10” long blister on my front tire tread cap at 70 mph. Until I got the bike stopped (Goldwing), I thought I was going to drop the bike. These tires gave no warning, pressures always spot on, bike garaged when not being driven, no abnormal tread wear, etc. Boom! Tire gives out 22 miles from nearest parts store/hotel/towing service. You get the picture. Avoid Avon tires! Just put some Dunlops on because that’s all I could source in the middle of Humbolt County California.

After 25 miles of riding these tire are great. Haven’t ridden in the rain, but they, so far, really grip the road.
