When I first got this I thought it was a gimmick but I put an ice cube on a plate and one on this tray and you can see the ice cube melt on the tray way quicker than on the normal plate, it defrosted my leg of lamb in only a few hours when normally it would take all day! well worth buying!!

Does the job it says it does. I defrosted sausages and burgers on it today that I had forgotten to take out for a bbq and they defrosted much more quickly than they would of done with out it.

Yes it does defrost much quicker than just on a plate. BUT very messy and juices drip onto work surface. Hence only 4 stars
