Seemingly overpriced, but so worth it!
I have been getting into fixing up guitars and had really like the idea of the Fret Kisser, but it had always seemed too pricey for a non-professional. However, I saw this set as a Black Friday deal where the whole shebang was listed for around 80 bucks and I couldn't resist. I am happy to say that it works extremely well for doing those touch-ups to a fret board, and avoiding any 'beam leveling' which is usually overkill. As for the other items, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the fret rocker! I had recently purchased a generic fret rocker and thought that it was perfectly serviceable. But when I had the StewMac to compare it to, I realized that the generic one was actually not accurate. The generic was giving me 'rocking' just by virtue of the fact that I had it slightly uneven across the frets. The StewMac is about twice as thick as the generic, and it is MUCH more accurate. This alone has possibly saved me hours of chasing 'ghost bumps' on my fretboard and doing unnecessary adjustments. All in all, I have no regrets. I guess sometimes you really do get what you pay for. I'm just glad that I was able to 'pay for' it a lot less than the normal price! The string gauge is great too!

Don't buy from anyone else, just buy this. You'll be glad you did!
I've enjoyed playing guitar for years (a few high dollar vintage ESP's and Ibanez guitars, however I never had the proper tools for adjusting for fret wear, or did I have measuring tools that gave me an indication of how it was set-up. The quality of these tools cannot be understated. Thick metal, precision machined, laser-etched (not just printed on). I was lucky enough to pick up this set during a sale (for around $70 from over$100), but it was in my list/cart regardless and I would've happily purchased this kit without saving money. If you play guitar, you'll need these tools...period! And don't settle for lesser quality 'no-name/cloned junk' copies here on Amazon. They may work OK in the interim, but they will not last. Those cheap, poorly manufactured products will wear out and you'll be buying them again one day or worse yet, trash your fretboard. I will/would buy from Stew Mac again and recommend this set for anyone who wants to take their guitar adjustments and maintenance seriously, you'll honestly get what you pay for! You'll see and feel confident in your purchase as soon as you peel the plastic off, WOW. -A happy customer (not a paid review!)

Best of the best
They are known as the best of the best for a reason. I know they cost a little more but they are actually square. Unlike the cheaper models and it’s just not worth taking the risk of ruining your guitar. They worked great and I highly recommend them. The build quality is unmatched. They’re easy to use. The measurements are extremely accurate and they are a great value because they’re gonna last for years and they also have a warranty.

expensive, but accurate
Seems to be well machined and accurate. Be aware that you need to place the flat edges DIRECTLY over the frets you are testing. Seems obvious, but it is easy to tilt the tool at an angle and get inaccurate results.

Expensive but worth it
This is a great tool if you know what you're doing.

Awesome Fret Leveler and very durable.
This is a very beefy tool. The edges are nice for leveling frets and checking to see if there is any change in elevation. With the reputation of Stew Mac behind this tool it is a must need for any guitarist who likes to work on their own guitars. The thickness is ideal and far superior to any of the other fret rockers out there. The price is comparable with what you get in the sturdiness of this tool. I have had great success with checking and leveling frets.

Opps should have ordered this years ago
Man what have I been doing without this for so long. I have several tools I have to use to do what this one item does, and does far better than the other tools, to boot! Def pic one of these up if you are having fret problems. Easy to use and very handy.
