Christabella loves it
Normally get different brand of fish based dog food for my ibd 16 year old dog, I already know vets kitchen is damn good dog food so thought I’d give her this to try, empty bowls every time I also put baked plain fish on top of it. Happy dog means happy owner

Our dog is a big fan!
We’ve got a fussy eater who needs his diet changed regularly and he’s also allergic to chicken. Yes, he’s spoiled but he deserves to be. We try to feed him healthy food so finding something that he really enjoys and is good for him is a big win!

Full of small fish bones
I’ve requested a refund on the Ocean Fish Vets Kitchen. There is absolutely no way I’d give this to my dogs as it’s full- I mean full- of bones.

Not as good as the price would suggest
Vet's Kitchen Lamb with Sweet Potato is marketed as a premium quality dog food - you certainly pay a high price for the premium branding. The biggest problem is the price: £2.19 per 395g pack. Our dogs usually have high quality raw food, it's much healthier and cheaper too. We pay around £2.50 per kg including delivery to our home, this is less than half the price of Vet's Kitchen.Another problem is that 25% of this food is vegetables (sweet potato, peas and carrots). This is much higher than necessary - 5% max would be ideal. On the plus side, there are some helpful supplements included, such as glucosamine, chondroitin and prebiotics. Another bonus is that the biggest ingredient is lamb at 60%. In fact, it's great that the manufacturer includes percentages of all the ingredients on the packaging, enabling customers to make an informed choice. The food has a pate-like texture with a few small lumps and it's quite strong smelling, not unlike most tinned dog foods. In summary, this food is expensive for what it is. Better quality foods are available for less money.
