Harbinger 1205 Big Grip II WristWrap Weight Lifting Gloves

My last pair of Harbinger gloves finally wore out after lasting about a year of workouts. They were plain black leather and other than a stitching problem around the little finger, they held up pretty well. I wanted to try something different so I ordered these gloves. They appeared to be well made gloves, although a bit restrictive. The problem is that the right glove is XL and the left is L. Even in the XL they do run a bit small. I don't understand how this happened, and I don't care, but now I have to mess with running by UPS and return these gloves. Buyer beware.

This is a super pair of weight lifting gloves. It is an improvement over their basic wrist-wrap lifting gloves, which are also excellent, and probably sufficient for most lifters. The contours across the hand are a hard, rubbery material for improved grip. They work well, but are not without costs. For some lifters, they may bunch up a little when you are setting your grip. And, the cost a little more than Harbinger's basic wrist-wrap gloves. Overall, I very much enjoy mine. They make my grip feel very secure and strong, notwithstanding occasional binding, constriction on my fingers in places. I am hopeful that will subside as the gloves break in and my hands become more accustom to the gloves. But, again, on balance, I am delighted. An added plus is that they look nice with the tan leather and black. Not perfect, but I am delighted.

Very comfortable and gripped well until the rubber started ripping off of the gloves, which was almost immediately. As with other Harbinger gloves the stitching was poor and wore out prematurely.

I've been a fan of Harbinger gloves for quite some time and have worn out a few pair along the way.This is what led me to purchase these. I liked the idea of the extra grip strips that are attached within the palm area and the dual color added a pretty cool looking contrast. When I wore them to the gym the first couple times I realized there were a couple issues.1. The grip strips that are blended into the palm area of the glove seem to actually inhibit getting a full grip on smaller things. Essentially, they bunch together when you close your hand and you can't get a full closure around smaller bars or handles. That, I can work with ok.2. The second issue is that I ordered an XXL pair. This is the same size as my last pair of the "classic 103" with the same wrist support wrap built in. Note that I did follow the guidelines for size and it matched up with the size associated with my current gloves. Unfortunately, when I go to wrap the wrist straps around, there seems like way too much glove material at the opening on the wrist side. The strap dosen't seem to wrap as cleanly and there is bunching of material and it just doesn't feel snug. In fact, it looks and feels sloppy and I had to constatly undo the velcro and rewrap. All and all the quality looks good but the fit was just off.Ultimately, I'm keeping them but I just placed an order for two pair of the classics wrist wrap gloves.Cheers.

I think it's a matter of preference. I was torn as I have gone through a few gloves and Harbinger has been the best brand so far for me. Good quality gloves at reasonable prices. I have the Big Grip 1's which do not have the wrist wrap but recently have arthritis in my thumb that radiates to the wrist. Not wanting to give up my workouts I was looking for a alternate glove with the wrist wrap. After reading other reviews on amazon regarding this glove I wasn't sure if I should get it or not. I'd have to say I'm glad I did. Where the preference comes in is the padding. These gloves (as well as the BG1's) have rubber nubbies for the padding, those that are not used to this feeling or used to a thin glove may not like it or may take a week to get used to them but they need to give it a chance because it is a very good glove. Mine are comfortable and give me that added support I was looking for. I bought a small men's size but am a female addicted to the gym. My BG1's (men's small) fit perfectly. My only gripe is that my BG2's are not the same fit, I guess I'd like them to be a little more snug. Perhaps they feel less snug due to the wrist wrap area on the back of the hand (not the wrist). My first pair of wrist wraps so I'm not sure. I could have chosen a pair of female Harbingers but most of the girl models are lax on the padding portion. All in all a pretty good glove.

very disappointed with these gloves this is my third pair in 4 years, the stichting seems to go too easily near the thumb area, and around the fingers

They are just too "thick" and bulky to allow me to get a good grip on the weights. The padding on the palm is monstrously thick and doesn't allow for any feel of what the weight is doing in your hand.I was looking for a glove that would prevent me from damaging the skin on my hands but these things are just way too over the top.Build quality is poor. The left hand glove tore after maybe 3 or 4 uses. The rubber padding on the palms began to disintegrate quickly.The wrist support is great. They look good. Those are the only positives.The generic Wal-Mart gloves do a better job than these and feel much better too.

Ich habe mir die handschuhe in der größe XL bestellt, leider war der eine Handschuh in der größe L. Ich habe den verkäufer informiert, wir haben dan ausgemacht ich schick die handschuhe wieder zurück und bekomme die wieder in der richtigen größe. Das ist jetzt über 2 Monate her, ich warte bis heute noch auf die Handschuhe bzw. auf das Geld. Ich werde mir dort nie wieder was bestellen.

This is a good product. I chose this to protect my wrist during pressing motions with heavier weights and it does the job well. ALso the rubber padding in the palm makes gripping the bar very easy.On the flip side the gloves are bulky and hot. I find I take them off for many exercises.Recommended for anyone needing a good strong glove to use during pressing exercises.

i have used this glove before and wore them out , upheld to a strong workout each and every time
