Not Sturdy :(
The Household Essentials 2101 Expandable Two-Tier Shoe Rack promises an efficient and adjustable solution for organizing shoes, but its sturdiness leaves something to be desired. Here's my honest review:First and foremost, the expandable design is a great idea for accommodating different shoe sizes and maximizing storage space. The adjustable rods are supposed to provide flexibility, but in practice, they tend to wobble and feel less secure. The chrome finish adds a touch of elegance to the shoe rack, making it visually appealing for home use. However, the aesthetic value doesn't compensate for the lack of durability. The two-tier configuration is practical for organizing shoes neatly, but it falls short in providing stable support for larger footwear or heavier shoe collections.Unfortunately, the shoe rack's sturdiness is its weakest point. The lightweight construction and lack of reinforcement make it prone to tipping or collapsing, especially when fully loaded with shoes.Assembly is straightforward, and the expandable feature allows for easy setup. However, the ease of assembly doesn't outweigh the disappointment in the rack's stability. While the shoe rack might suffice for individuals with a small number of shoes or lightweight footwear, it's not recommended for those with extensive shoe collections or heavy shoes. The lack of rubber or non-slip feet at the base of the shoe rack is another drawback. Without proper traction, the shoe rack may slide on smooth surfaces, further compromising stability. In conclusion, the rack might offer convenience and adjustability, but its overall sturdiness leaves much to be desired. While it might suit those with limited shoe storage needs, it may not hold up well for heavier use or larger shoe collections. If you're looking for a more robust and reliable shoe storage solution, you might want to explore other options that offer better stability and durability.

Finally all my shoes in one place!
I bought this shoe rack to try to get my closet a little more organized and have all my shoes in one place. Prior to the purchase, there was a pair near my door (my 'go to' shoes if I need to go to the yard or somewhere for a short while) and a couple in a box under my bed as well as in my closet. The small size of the shoe rack is a perfect fit for the closet.I did experience the same problem that a couple of other reviews had, where the shoes would slip off. It was a semi-easy fit though. I just taped down a few pieces of non-slip rug pad on the rails. Not only do my shoes do not slip, but they also stay in place. Plus since it is in my closet, I do not mind the "do it yourself" look of it.

Good, simple shoe rack
This is a great shoe rack for the price. It's really easy to set up and adjust the length. Slippers and other flat pairs of shoes can even fit easily underneath the rack. It has plastic pieces to go over the ends so it will not slide around much or scratch your floor. However, there are some things to beware of:-this shoe rack actually fits 5 to 10 pairs of shoes (depending on the length), NOT 6 to 12.-boots or taller (hi-top) shoes will only fit on the top tier of the rack.-if a pair of shoes does not have a pronounced heel or if it has a flat sole, it may slip off the rackOverall, definitely a good buy.

Drink holder hack success!!
Bought it to hold bottled waters! Have a small cabin and space is precious. Got 2 racks and it will hold 4 cases of water!

Great for the price
I bought this for the office (I have a lot of shoes there) - fits easily under my desk and was incredibly simple to put together. My only complaint is that there is not enough space between the two shelves. I put all my low heels on the bottom and high heels on top, but the heels from the shoes on the top shelf kind of get in the way when I try to take out the shoes from the bottom. This probably wouldn't be a problem if my shoes had smaller heels. I have gotten other shoe racks that are better, but about twice the price.

Gets the job done.
This is a good shoe rack. Very sturdy, but lighweight as the poles are hollow metal. I bought two and stacked them on top of each other, which was very convenient. I only wish they gave just a little more room between the tiers. Standard men's shoes just barely fit under the upper tier. When I pull them out, sometimes I end up knocking the shoes above them off the rack. This is great for smaller shoes like high heels and sandals

great for price
It was a great deal for the price and very easy to put together. 4 stars because I am satisfied with the product, but in the future I will probably pay a little more to get something with a surface that holds better (rubber, even just a course surface). It will hold your shoes if you put them on the rack exactly as pictured. If a shoe is a little off center, then it will probably slide off the rack.

An excellent buy
Bought this to replace a similar item I had for years and which had recently broken. This one is so much nicer than my prior one. It is sturdy and easy to assemble. Expands to the length I need to accommodate all my shoes. Despite what other reviewers have said, I find that my shoes do not slip off; even my one pair of moccasins do not move once placed on the rack (rubber soles). I would definitely recommend this product for the durability and the cost. The only drawback I would mention is that it is not made in the United States, but good luck finding one that is.
