loving this book
I bought this book to help my son prepare for 6th grade state testing. It follows the math curriculum for our state very closely. My son is not ahead and he's not behind, right on track so this book is perfect for the 6th grader. The curriculum is set up in a great way for teaching and has clear instructions and explanations. My son will greatly benefit from working out of this book and I wish we would have found this book earlier in the school year. I bought another workbook, to make sure we had enough to work with and I honestly only needed this one, even though we use both. Happy schooling!

VERY HELPFUL
i bought this for my sister to help her prepare for 6th grade and this book is pretty good for a math workbook. Good explanation and very considerable price. This workbook had a few answerwrong. All math workbooks have errors, but this one has the least amount of errors i have ever seen

Good for Practice Problems
I bought this workbook for my little brother over his summer break as a learning supplement before 6th grade. It was relatively cheap compared to other workbooks. The problems are relevant to the grade level and the examples provide a decent guideline on how to do the problems. It's not without flaws though. Some word problems are very ambiguous in what it is asking for. Heck, I finished the SAT a couple years back, and some of the problem in workbook could of been on there. In addition, the book doesn't do much on explanations. They're pretty vague on some topics, so I suggest using the book for practice problems rather than self-study.For the most part, the book is alright, but not perfect. But if you're searching for more of a "practice problems" workbook, look no further, this one will do the trick.

Really good book
Great book... my 14 year old son is on a 6th grade level and this lets me teach him the math without him feeling overwhelmed or frustrated... I like that the instructions for the lessons are on each page but SOMETIMES I wish they were a little clearer. However, he is learning and I am able to follow along and help him out. Its a good Book

Great Helpfull book
We purchased this book to help our 6th grade Grandson practice and understand in detail what he was learning in school. He was failing math and could not understand the correct way to proceed. So we took on the duty of tutoring him 2 days a week. He has had his Ahhh Haaaa moment and has improved his math skills and grade to a A in one semester. So explains the rating and we are still tutoring and using this book and will continue on with each years book. Try it if you child, grandchild or neighbor child is struggling.

decent book, but the answer key has errors.
I like that this includes a good lesson plan to give you a plan for the summer. There is also an answer key in the back, but use it with a grain of salt since there are plenty of wrong answers. Be prepared to do a little math yourself when grading the work.

however bought this for him to help ease him into 6 grade and it's a great book! It's got good instructions and sections
I have a 5th grader, however bought this for him to help ease him into 6 grade and it's a great book! It's got good instructions and sections. This is also used when there's a break. I recommend this product for any parents who's looking to keep their kids minds sharp.

Kids Will Succeed with Parents' Help
I got this book for my son who is going to be in 6th grade this year. Overall it's a good book. However, keep in mind, thatanswers sometimes have errors, not many though. The reason it's 4 stars is because in the examples they would show only one way of doing the problem (i.e. scientific notations with whole numbers), but won't show how to do it with decimals, so my kid got confused. Or, they would show you how to calculate the volume, but won't mention to keep an eye on the convertion metric, i.e. the problem uses feet, but the question is about yards. There is also no example of cubic feet/cubic yard convertion. There are a lot of fractions and decimals problems, not so many geometry. Overall, it's a good introduction book for a 6th grader-to-be, so I would recommend the book.
