Decent pads at a great price
Very easy to fit, and my daughter reports that the brakes on her Giant mountain bike are now working better than they ever have. They give much more reassuring braking, and significantly less noise than the standard pads that came with the bike. The pads are clearly marked with which side and orientation each should be fitted in. The supplied fittings appear to be of decent quality, and the convex washers allow for easy adjustment of the pad in all planes. They also come already installed on the pads in the correct order, so you just need to remove the nut, and the washers and spacers that go on the outside of the brake arm, slide the pad in from the inside, then refit the outer parts in the same order, and put the nut on. Nip the pad up so it's still free to move, push the arm against the wheel rim and position the pad squarely on the rim, then nip the nut up. I also had to to slacken the cable slightly at the cantilever end to allow for the extra thickness of the new pads, but this is not a big deal.I did not need to set any toe-in as there is no squeal in use.Fitting took about 10 minutes for both pairs, and the brakes feel strong and are very quiet. First ride today was in damp conditions, and water doesn't seem to bother them too much.I'm sure professional riders will want something more exotic, but for a bike that gets used to cycle around town, and to do a morning paper round, these are a great set of pads. Longevity is still to be established, but at this price, and given the ease of fitting (and that a complete spare set is supplied as well), it's not a big deal.

Not fit for purpose. Terrible.
As per another reviewer I too can confirm that "these pads are actually dangerous as the block is not adequately secured to the stem". This makes the blocks impossible to tighten onto the arm since this requires tension on both the nut and the block and doing so causes the connection between the stem and the block to shearI have bought cheap non branded brake blocks multiple times before and have always been happy with the product, however the pack of 8 blocks I was sent with this order are simply put terrible. It is also worth noting that the blocks I received were slightly different in appearance to those pictured, so either these brake pads have always been bad or they have become bad with changes in supply or production. So from now on, I'll be buying reputable branded brake blocks (eg Clarks) only.

Great value
70mm long against my old brakes which were 50mm. More surface area equals more grip. Rounded to fit shape of wheel. Look good in red and black. Tested them out and they provide good, progressive braking. You get four pairs so even if they do wear quickly, you still have two pairs spare. My only minor gripe is that the supplied Allen key isn’t great steel and rounded easily. But it didn’t damage the nuts though, so no biggie. Amazon delivered these to me unbelievably quickly, like impossibly fast!

Caution
No No No, made in china and burn out very quickly, too quickly. I shan't be buying more of these. Going to spend more on hopefully a more decent product. This is the one drawback of Amazon, we can all be drawn towards a bargain !

Cheap, but don't last long
These are no harder to fit than any other brake pads, and they work OK. But they really don't last long, so I think they made be made of butter. The Allen key that comes with them is certainly made of something very soft. You will need to use a steel one, and throw this one away.I guess it's good value, but I can't be bothered to keep changing the brake pads every month, so I'm paying a bit more for pads that last longer these days.

Screw/post length quite short
Would have been easier to fit if the metal screw/post was longer, I was unable to use all spacers as the part it passes through on my bike meant there would be no threads showing to screw end cap onto, had to use just one spacer nearest the wheel then a washer and screw cap, they seem very secure but I would measure the length to ensure they are the same as the ones you are replacing. Took probably twice as long trying different combinations. Took the bike for a 10 min spin to test and seems fine, better stopping and tighter at the brake pull lever.

Not a lot of padding.
The actual pad on these is quiet narrow so i don't expect them to last to long. The fact that there are 4 sets included might make up for this but then again a single pair with thicker pads might be easier with less changing involved. They do look nice and of what there is the quality seems fine.

Can't count? Had wrong number of blocks.
Ordered this product expecting the described 4 pairs of brake blocks. Unfortunately the plastic packaging arrived open within the well sealed box and there were only 3 pairs. Not impressed at such as basic error. Had to return the whole package and order again rather than ask for the last pair which was even more inconvenient.Did have to check, but at least there were the same number of right and left blocks!
