My husband thinks it's the bee's knees !He chose this after spending several hours deciding on a new holder for his new phone after his old phone died.Considering the time he spends moaning and complaint about the slightest thing, it was a blessing to see him thoroughly examine it, fix his phone in, pull it out, refit it and finally say"That looks great. Looks quite posh and it seems really solid and well made".My jaw hit the floor as there is always something that isn't right about anything a buy for him.But this exceeded all his expectations. It's really exceptional quality and the price was amazing for genuine leather. It's a lovely rich colour and very robust. So a happy husband means peace time for me..... until someone mentions the football !

Seems like a decent case, however the threads at the top have started coming apart.The case has hardly been used and stays in my house on a sofa, thus has had no wear and tear.Looks virtually new however as the threads are coming apart at to top it will probably not last very long.Maybe I have received a faulty item.

I bought this on the strength of it standing up as I use my phone to watch TV on. There is absolutely no give in the leather, so whenever you try and open the case, it slides back to it's original position and you cannot watch TV on it. Furthermore, it is equally as awkward when making calls as the leather face cover will not stay behind the phone while you access the screen and the clasp is only magnetic on one side so you cannot fold it behind the phone as it will just spring back. It makes a very slimline phone look really bulky.

This case correctly fits the Samsung A40 smartphone. The phone is retained well in the inner plastic case and does not come out inadvertently. The outer case is plastic, don’t be fooled by any descriptions using the word leather. Nonetheless the material is of a good quality and the stitching does not look cheap as it is in straight lines and with regular spacing. Overall the product looks good and feels good. It does not look cheap.In the closed position, the thick case gives a sturdy cover to protect the front screen, and will survive many knocks. I like the cases that fold closed as they provide a very robust protection. I use this on a work phone which is thrown in my travel bag and never have to worry now. The case can also be used as a stand to hold the phone at an angle, for watching videos on the fold-down table on a plane, for example . Finally, there is a clasp strap with embedded magnet which holds the case tightly closed, yet is very easy to open.The price was a bit higher than I have paid in the past (new phone required new size of case) but I am pleased with the quality. There has been no wear after three months of use. I hope this detailed review will help others trying to choose from a large selection of similar products. Review written September 2020.

This is a good case and I appreciate the protection it provides.However it's worth mentioning problems inherent in the design.1. Cut-out for camera is too small to allow full use of wide-angle camera. Can be trimmed by hand but result may look unsightly.2. Magnetic closure is convenient and useful - but it completely messes up the operation of the phone's built-in magnetic compass. There is no work-around here except to remove the phone completely from the case which is not something I'd want to do while outdoors in the field.Other than that, very good case.

An excellent phone case. Well made and fits the A40 perfectly. What I really like is the buttons feature on the edge. On many cases there is simply a cutout for the phone buttons, but this can make the buttons really hard to get to. With this case, however, buttons are embossed on the case itself. This is a raised area of plastic that sits directly over the button and this makes the phone really easy to use. The finger scanner is a bit more fiddly to use, but that's a small price to pay knowing that your phone is well protected. Highly recommended, and at this price you could buy a new one every 6 months if it starts to show signs of wear.

Positive - strong leather phone case with quality leather.I returned this product as it did not fit properly on Samsung A40. The one side was wider so the power button did not work. However the seller refunded my money back and a very speedy return of product via doodle service.

Would have given five stars but the description should have read ( case collection premium faux leather not premium leather ) well made and fits my Samsung A40 spot on, well made case will keep phone safe, have taken pics in case no probs. happy with this product but you must scroll down and read full details of what case is made from, read one review about magnet catch affecting compass on phone so I tested in case and out of case the magnet did affect compass so if your lost in the woods take this into account. for the price you can not go wrong.
