Clubman Moustache Wax with Brush Comb - Neutral 14g

I was looking for something to fill in a a bare spot on my mustache. I wasn’t sure to get the clear or the colored, and I decided on the chestnut it really fills in the bare spot. The product is very thick you really have to squeeze a tube to get it out, but you do not need a lot. Just a very, very small amount. The brush works perfectly to spread it throughout your mustache. The wax has a very slight scent, it really holds a mustache wherever you put it straight to the side, straight down straight up.

I have worn facial hare for over 50 years, but only recently started using moustache wax. I did not know anything about how to use it or what to try. Clubman was the first one I tried. The bottom line is that this is easy to apply, has a very nice light scent that fades relatively quickly (I usually HATE all scents), and has excellent hold when dry. And it does not feel waxy or sticky. The big negative is that it is water soluble, so it tends to go away easily when eating, drinking, or just in high humidity. My beard is very course, thick and curly. Trying to get any shape to the hairs, or just keep the moustache hairs out of my mouth is VERY hard, as a result, for the last 50 years I have resorted to just carefully trimming all the hairs along my lip line and keeping them fairly short to they stay away from my nose. I was never sure just how I should be using this stuff, but it did allow me to grow out my moustache and begin getting nice twists, even with all the curls in my hair. I have recently tried a bee's wax type product that is supposed to have strong hold, and I now know that Clubman was really doing an excellent job for me, and would have been even better if I knew more about how to use it. I probably would have liked it better if I was willing to touch it up a bit during the day. It is kind of expensive, since you can only get it in the little .5 oz tube, but I may go back to it after I try a few other things.

I've been using this for years to add a curl to the ends of my mustache. I use a little dab for each side, work it in and comb it then shape the mustache with my fingers. This is called "Neutral" however it is really a white color so you will have a white mustache if you are only partially gray. When mine was brown I used the brown version. It will stay on most of the day, but excessive sweating or washing with remove the wax. It has a slight odor but not too strong. I have tried other stiffer waxes that last longer but are much harder to apply. This is quick and easy, and you can always reapply. The size of one tube is about right, it lasts me for months. It does not affect my hair other than to make it a little smoother. I does not make your hair stiff as you might think. This wax functions as it should.

Unfortunately, my experience with the Clubman Moustache Wax (Chestnut Brown) purchased from the third-party seller "SalonTotal has" been quite disappointing. It seems like this seller is dealing in older stock, as the product I received was far from fresh. The pomade appears to be manufactured in February 2023, which makes it 1 year and 8 months old at the time of purchase. Combined with the conditions in which it must have been stored, this has resulted in a wax that feels slightly dried out. The texture is not what you'd expect from a freshly produced product — it’s hard to get out of the tube and significantly more difficult to work with than it should be. Combine this with a high shipping cost (79SEK) which accounted for a high percentage of the total cost. Overall, I was hoping for a much fresher product, and this one just didn’t deliver. If you're considering buying this, I would advise caution, especially if it's from this seller. ✅ I want to add, this is a product that Mr P has used Clubman moustache wax for a number of years, and it's a good product. Unfortunately this particular seller appears to be selling pomade that in this case was either old, poorly stored - Or a combination of both ✅ ⛔️ UPDATE 29 October 2024 ⛔️ I contacted the seller to see what I should do, and quite frankly the seller wasted my time and refused to answer the question. Deliberately skirting around and completely ignoring the issue raised. I eventually sought a return due to the defective product, only to then be send a return slip that was missing postage (which breached Amazons own rules for defective items). Having now initiated a refund through Amazon, I am hoping this will be the end of the saga. A refund has been issued by Amazon , but the return window remains open until mid November, when we will see if I get recharged for the item (As I can't seem to get clarification on this from either the 3rd party seller or Amazon). Quite frankly its been a pain to work with this seller and I hope this is the end of this saga.
