Doctor Who: Series 7 (2013)

Doctor Who series 7 starts off with the Ponds final adventures with the Doctor. Amy Pond is my favorite companion since the new series began in 2005 with Rose Tyler being my 2nd favorite. This series completes Amy and Rory's adventures with the Doctor and completed their story lines from the little Amelia Pond who waited to being Amy Pond to finally becoming Amelia Williams.With their last 5 adventures, as well as the 2011 Christmas special:The Doctor, The Widow and the WardrobeAsylum of the DaleksDinosaurs on a SpaceshipA Town Called MercyThe Power of ThreeThe Angels Take ManhattanAngles Take Manhattan to me was my favorite and where it was showed that while her and the Doctor are best friends, Rory is what mattered most to her and where she showed that she was incapable of being without Rory. As she put it "that's what marriage is about." While it was the end of the Ponds on the Tardis, it wasn't the end of Amy and Rory.We move forward to the impossible girl Clara Oswald. Who questions the Doctor and doesn't get along with the Tardis. This is now the third incarnation the Doctor meets and the one he will be traveling with on the Tardis. You should of heard Amy's voice saying "We're in space!" From The Beast Below episode and you would of also heard the Ninth Doctor's voice as well as well as some classic Doctor Who voices!4 Did you see the swimming pool (although it is no longer located in the library)5 The telescope from Tooth and Claw6 The Library and in the library The Great Time War book, where Clara finds the Doctor's real name!

Aside from being slimmer, the slip case fits very tightly around the trifold that houses the discs. I have to leave my set protruding slightly from the slip case or it would take few minutes before I could shake it free. Not a big issue, but not the same exact design used in the series 5 and 6 releases. The special features are set up the same way as the last two series, a few bits of supplemental material per disc. There is an insert pamphlet with Doctor Who merchandise. The first trifold houses the episode listing and supplemental material breakdown just as the complete sets for series 5 and 6 have. So this set aesthetically looks in line with the series 5 and 6 sets, just fits tighter due to being slimmer. Overall I am happy with this set and its design.I know some people have complained about the beginning of this series, my only complaint was with "The Angels Take Manhattan" episode, and in large part because it reminded me of Ghostbusters 2 (The worst sequel in the history of film sequels) because of the Statue Of Liberty Angel. A small complaint and not really a valid complaint at that, I actually liked this episode quite a bit. I think this is the best series to date (I realize a lot of fans will disagree and I perfectly understand). I think Clara "Oswin" Oswald is a much better companion to the Doctor than Amy Pond was. That being said, I am extremely happy with the direction of the character arc for Amy and Rory. A couple as the Companion to the Doctor and their struggle to maintain a life of normalcy when apart from the Doctor I thought was a really cool concept, and very well executed. Steven Moffat is a brilliant writer, and I loved spending the first part of this series wrapping up Amy and Rory's story and the second part of this series with my new favorite Companion, Clara. I personally liked the second half of series 7 even more so than the first half. My favorite episodes were "Asylum of the Daleks" and "Cold War". I also liked the Christmas special "The Snowmen" mainly because I watched it Christmas day and I think it's the best one they've done so far, plus I like Strax a lot. This is the last series with Matt Smith as the Doctor (aside from the upcoming 50th anniversary special and the 2013 Christmas special) and I will miss him. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Matt Smith est le meilleur Docteur Who selon moi. Il drôle, charmant et joue son rôle a la perfection. Je recommande cette série. De plus la série est en Français.

Must have for Doctor who fans

Indispensable para todo aquel que tenga su colección de Doctor Who. Viene la temporada completa con el especial navideño y material extra. El paquete llego con unos pequeños detalles puesto que es como cartón grueso y se maltrata más que nada de las esquinas.

Inspiegabilmente il cofanetto della settima stagione termina con l'episodio 7.13 "Il nome del Dottore" mentre manca "Il tempo del Dottore" (di fatto il 7.14) che è la vera fine con la rigenerazione nel dodicesimo dottore e la spiegazione di tante cose altrimenti mancanti... (l'origine del silenzio, Trenzelor, la crepa nello spazio-tempo, la tredicesima rigenerazione ecc).La puntata "mancante" è presente nel cofanetto del 50° anniversario, insieme al "Giorno del Dottore".Incredibile che non sia incluso nel cofanetto della stagione e che lo si debba scoprire quasi per caso (almeno così è successo a me).

Wer kennt es noch. "Raumpatrouille Orion" die deutsche SciFi Serie aus den 60ern (1965). In 7 Folgen hat die Besatzung des Raumkreuzers Orion unter ihrem Commanders Cliff Allister McLane (Dietmar Schönherr) die Welt gerettet. Danach war leider Schluss weil dem produzierenden ZDF die Kosten zu hoch waren und die Serie nicht ins Ausland (USA, etc.) zu verkaufen war da sie in schwarz weiß produziert wurde.Ich kenne die Serie durch meine Mutter die sich die DVD gekauft hat und regelmäßig immer wieder gerne guckt. Und auch wenn meine Begeisterung nicht so groß ist wie bei meiner Mutter mag ich die Serie. Und die Idee dahinter. Und habe mir die Frage gestellt was hätte aus "Raumpatrouille Orion" werden können wen man beim ZDF mehr Mut gehabt hätte.Die Antwort. Vielleicht das deutsche "Doctor Who". "Doctor Who" ist eine englische SciFi Serie die 1963 das erste mal auf Sendung ging. Man unterscheidet bei "Doctor Who" zwischen der klassischen und der neuen Serie. Die klassische Serie lief von 1963 - 1989, die neue Serie seit 2005. Die Engländer hatten einfach den Mut zur Einfachheit. Um Kosten zu sparen waren die Sets eher spärlich mit ganz viel Plastik und die Special Effects alles nur nicht professionell. Die Geschichten wiederum waren Genial und das was die Sendung trug. Populär und Kult (in England) wurde sie durch beides. Die aktuelle Serie kann jetzt auch mit professionellen Sets und Special Effects aufwarten. Und etwas schrägen englischen Humor. Ich würde mir wünschen das auch nochmal jemand auf die Idee kommt "Raumpatrouille Orion" wieder aus der Versenkung zu holen.Die komplette 7. Staffel beinhaltet alle 13 Folgen der siebten Staffel sowie zwei X Mas Specials. Egal ob Star Trek oder Star Wars, Stargate, Zurück in die Zukunft oder oder oder. Meistens, nicht immer, aber meistens schaue ich es gerne und regelmäßig. Doch bei "Doctor Who" muss ich zugeben bin ich ein Spätzünder. Ich habe ein zwei Folgen mal an einem Samstag auf ProSieben gesehen und war schon begeistert. Doch als die Serie wieder verschwand war es mir auch irgendwie egal. Doch nachdem ich sie auf DVD & Blu-Ray Veröffentlichungen wieder gesehen habe und einmal bestellt hatte war ich dabei.Die Serie ist toll. Und very british. Mit vielen schrägen Geschichten und noch mehr schrägen Humor. Man muss also bereit sein sich darauf einzulassen. Seit der 5. Staffel begleiten wir Matt Smith als 11. Inkarnation des Doctors auf seinen Reisen und Abenteuern. Seine Begleitung ist auch wie schon in der 5. und 6. Staffel Amy Pond (gespielt von Karen Gillan) und ihr Ehemann Rory Williams (gespielt von Arthur Darvill), hier allerdings zum letzten mal. Beide werden während der Staffel verabschiedet. Neu dazu kommt für die beiden Clara Oswald (gespielt von Jenna Coleman),Für Matt Smith ist es die letzte Staffel als Doctor Who. Auch wenn er nicht in dieser Staffel verabschiedet wird. In der achten Staffel wird man einen neuen Doctor Who als nun mehr 12. Inkarnation des Doctors zu sehen bekommen. Für mich war Matt Smith der erste Doctor Who (ich habe ja wie Matt mit der fünften Staffel angefangen bin hier also erst eingestiegen). Und ich mochte wie er diesen dargestellt hat. Sein Spiel war sicherlich immer sehr schnell, alles andere als ruhig. Und alles andere als ernst. Ich bin aber auch auf den neuen Doctor gespannt und wie er diesen Figur verkörpert die schon von so vielen großartigen Schauspielern verkörpert wurde.Die Blu-Ray Veröffentlichung ist super. Man bekommt alle 13 Folgen verteilt auf 5 Discs zusammen mit eine menge Extras. Dazu gibt es ein Booklet mit Infos über die Staffel, die Serie und den einzelnen Folgen, sowie kurzen Interviews mit Steven Moffat, Matt Smith und Jenna Coleman.Eine Übersicht über die Folgen hat man auch noch einmal auf dem Rücken der Amaray Blu-Ray sowie dem Schuber in dem sich die Amaray Hülle befindet. Das grüne FSK Logo auf dem Schubert kann man abmachen, den auf der Hülle nicht.Ich mag "Doctor Who" und entdecke das kann man erahnen. Die Geschichte sind so anders als bei anderen Serien und einfach unterhaltsam. Die Blu-Ray Veröffentlichung ist toll. Wären doch nur alle so.
