Easy to Use. Loved it!
I had no issues using the cake pan. I did use non stick spray which I don't like. I was in a rush to bake a cake and did not have time to fix anything. Next time I will experiment and see if it really needs the spray. I put the bottom part in for 15 minutes by itself and then put in the top. Before using I cleaned and baked the cake pan on 350 for 20 minutes. This got rid of the chemical smell. Easy to clean and made a super cute cake.

Wonderful product!
I bought this for my work to celebrate our birthdays each month. Definitely use 2 cake box mixes. You will have leftover batter. If you are the more froogle type you can always make a few cupcakes with the leftover. Try not to overfill or you will be cutting off that extra cake anyway to make a level top to put the two pieces together. Make sure you lather both sides with cooking oil before putting your batter in....it comes out wonderful that way. It looks smaller than you think...I easily feed our entire office of about 30 people a small piece. Once you frost the middle and outside.....you can cut the bottom and top as if it was two small cakes.....of course that's after you sing happy birthday and take your applause for the most adorable cake ever!! My staff loves this.

Great item but didnt come with a maual
I got this cupcake maker for my sons first birthday. I opened the package and noticed that there was no manual of any kind. So I e mailed the seller and they never got back to me. Then I called amazon who then filed a claim and called the representative of the "as seen on tv" products and I was told by her that there is NO manual, that you have to google or youtube the information on how to use it. Needless to say I am mad! Who sells a product and doesn't include an instruction manual? As a product it works great, but I think they need to include a book, not everyone has access to the internet.

LOVE THIS!!!
This Big Top cupcake mold is awesome!!It arrived in a similar but different box than what is in the picture. It came with instructions, but did not come with the recipe book, which didn't matter to me. I have made 2 cupcake cakes with this so far and they turned out great!!I used 1 pilsbury box mix. (You can use 1 & 3/4 box cake mix to make a bigger cake if you choose to do so) **Make sure to spray the molds with cooking spray thoroughly so that cake does not stick** I increased my baking time to approximately 45min at 325 degrees and the top did get done first. I carved it some to cut the hard edges off, but once covered with icing it's not noticible and it makes the cake taste so much better!!Also, I used candy melts to make a "cupcake liner" for the cupcake and it turns out great, because with the silicone mold you can just roll it down off the refrigerated chocolate. I have not had it to break yet. It looks so nice and clean when you do use a chocolate liner as you can see in my image on here of the blue cupcake!!To those who mentioned a rubber taste...I never experienced that. I did bake the mold after washing it the first time for about 20min at 350 as advised by another reviewer, so that might have prevented that from happening. FIY You will smell a horrible rubber smell the first time you bake the mold.Overall, this product is great!! I would recommend it to anyone looking to buy a giant cupcake pan. Why waste an extra $20 or $30 on a wilton pan when this one works just as well(and better if you plan on making a chocolate liner)??

Now the Easiest to Use, but were effective!
This was my first experience with silicon bakeware. I'm not sure I'd buy more, just because it didn't cook like a normal pan. That being said, the mold was perfect and the cakes all came out as described. Baking time varied and some cakes took longer than others. I don't have a solid time to tell you, just keep an eye on them. I'd almost recommend baking separately if you have time?? Make sure that the top matches the base. If not, your top of the cupcake is going to be too small to sit right on the base. I'd almost over-fill the top - you can always cut off extra cake.If you put in PAM or nonstick spray, the cakes come right out - no problems with that. ALl in all, a success. Will play around with this more as time goes on.

Beautiful Giant Cupcakes
I have used this bake ware a few times now and it has been a great success on all of them. The silicone is so easy to work with, and it does truly do as promised! I have only tried easy recipes so far. I made chocolate cake in the bottom mold and brownies in the top one. The only thing you might find hard to to figure out cooking time. Keep on medium-low heat for quite a long time and check regularly after about 45 minutes. The cooking times obviously also depends on the cake you are baking. It is easy then to shape the top of the cake with a knife afterwards and put the two together with the frosting of your choice. The silicone makes it really easy to get the cake out of the mold because you can simply peel it off. I would still suggest buttering the molds before baking just to be sure.Basically, when working with this product only your imagination sets a limit to what you can do! I am really pleased with it and I have already given it as a gift to a friend who was just as happy!

Cake, Cake, Cake
I bought this Big Top Cupcake Silicone Bakeware to make a huge cupcake for my mom for her 50th Birthday. When it came in the mail, it seemed to be packaged great. I took it out and I thought it seemed a little flimsy, but the directions did say to put it on a cookie sheet while baking. After reading the directions I tried to add the amount they suggested for each side, but after baking it didn't seem like enough so I had to make another one and added more batter and trimmed it down to what I needed. I did notice that the lid that covers the bottom half to make the open area for filling didn't have the vent holes fully punched out. I had to try and open up those holes, which was a little difficult. I have used this bakeware twice now and I think both times have turned out great after I finished the project. This isn't a bad product and the price seemed reasonable, since the actual metal pans were at least double what this cost.
