Set your expecations.
I bought this as a secondhand unit provided by the supplier, and for the price I am happy. The unit is sturdy but hefty. The settings work as they are supposed to, and I am not too fussed about the fact that you can only use a remote to do the programming, most of the devices in our house are like this, so I think that's just an ill-conceived perception. The unit works perfectly for timelapse and I find very smooth pans using hyperlapse on my DJI Osmo. That said, you will not get smooth pans using an iPhone or DSLR. I have experienced a slight amount of "ticking" when filming but that is par for course with a unit this cheap and tbh, it's not really designed for that use and hardly suprising.

Good idea but not for outdoor use in current form.
I think I may have received a duff one? Firstly, it wouldn't turn in an anti-clockwise direction. Then the wind (it was quite windy), took advantage of the slack in the head. It pushed it back and forwards giving a very jerky result despite the one hour 360 degree setting. It was clear at ninety degrees to the wind, that my camera (Nikon D810 with Sigma 25-105 F4) was pushing the motor backwards against the programmed direction. It is a good product, but too fragile for outdoor use. I would like to see a lockbor free to turn setting to avoid over-running the motor gears and removal of the slack that causes jumpy recording if using it for time-lapse photography. I have returned mine for a refund but will watch out for an improved version from Brewer.

Sturdy and reliable but not enough speed options
Feels strong and sturdy in the hand, good smooth rotation, however speeds are very limited, the slowest it turns is 90 degrees in one hour, which if trying to capture a sunrise for example is way too fast, and the fastest it turns is 360 degrees in 15 minutes, which can also be annoyingly slow, depending on what you're trying to capture, so it all depends on your needs and what you're using it for.

Very good, fast rotation speeds
It is strong and sturdy, good smooth rotation, rotation speeds are fast, the slowest it turns is 90 degrees in one hour. It would be excelent with slower rotation speeds.

Useful for timelapse videos
I bought this to put a bit of movement into timelapse videos, it works well, quite chunk and heavy, will take a DSLR and a tripod head if necessary. Quite limited in it's application but good at what it does.

Remove any guess work!
Cars have electronic handbrakes; now tripods have electronic panoramic tripod heads. Can the world get any better? I’ve taken a few panoramic shots with my camera where it crashes out because of a minor error in my panoramic rotation. This takes out all the guess work to ensure a perfect image, or even a perfect short recording every time. Very easy to use and with its rechargeable battery, it should never let me down!

Superb!
Just what I wanted for using with my GoPro for time lapse and panoramic video. Super smooth movement and very easy to set up with the remote control. Only possible downside is the time it takes to charge but once you recognise that, you can plan accordingly. Delighted with this product after trying 2 other cheaper options. You get what you pay for!
