Appears to be well designed to protect from the elements and hold up to time (I always update if problems arise). Can be a little tricky to install (recommend going over the instructions, maybe twice, to get the multiple steps down). Once installed correctly they make your work look professional and provide great protection from the elements. Very convenient for any setup that you may have to unplug in the future.

These are very cheap. Their security will depend on how well you crimp your wires. I would not use them in applications where the wires will be moving. Cannot speak to weatherproofing, but grommets and seals look sufficient.

Easy to bend during assembly, I added a drop of solder to reinforce connection. Probably won't last long, poor design, cheap connectors. Will not buy again.

If you have the right tools and know what you're doing these are great! I have had them for months just knowing I'd eventually use them and tonight used them to fully make a custom harness for quick disconnect of the water pump to supply water from a reservoir to a pressure washer. Came out perfect and the weather seals are definitely a plus. I'm fairly certain that the review I just read from the person saying "have a fire extinguisher ready" was from an under experienced person. If you know how to properly use the open barrel crimp tool that these pins are designed for then you can get a lot of bang for your buck on this one.

I bought these primarily to use while rewiring a motorcycle cargo trailer. I had completely disassembled the trailer to refinish it and wanted a clean wire harness. These definitely fit the bill. My only tip is to use the right crimp tool. There is a vast variety of stripper/crimper tools available as well as range of quality of the tools. Make sure you have a GOOD quality tool that is designed specifically for these connectors and not a generic crimper. Make sure after crimping to pull each of the pins before inserting into the housing. Also there is only one direction to insert them to have it lock in place. If you are a quarter turn off or flipped over, you can push it in but they will come apart on you.Finally it would be nice if they included some extra male and female pins for correcting mistakes or for practice. If planning to use the entire kit, I recommend ordering more than one kit or finding extra pins.

I bought these to have some quick disconnects for my truck shell and they work excellent once you have the proper crimp tool and are careful to align everything correctly. They pieces are a little tiny, but work excellent for my needs.

I had to rewire my motorbike harness. I tried these connectors and it is definitely not what I expected.My goal was to save time by using it rather than weld the wires. WRONG, at first, all the pins are mixed, so you always have to find the correct one (you have two differents kind of pins) and they don't lock very well inside the connector, so sometime, if after all you stretch a little bit to much your wire, it will unlock and loose the contact!I am definitely not very happy by this reference of connectors. And I have a professionnal crimper, so the tool is not the question. I did order 2 boxes, I will return one!
