Fluke Networks 26500090 TS90 Cable Fault Finder with BNC to Alligator Clips

We use a lot of 10-2/g UF here .. all remote off-grid systems, and just letting you know that it does indeed work on Romex type wiring. I use the setting for normal 12-2/g which is 71, as the pdf manual on the Fluke site is disabled/not available at this writing. If you have a more accurate setting number for 10-2 then please comment. With that said, the 12-2 Romex setting (71) is pretty darn accurate. With the high cost of copper these days, we don't discard any leftovers, and I've used the TS-90 for actually measuring the length of a remnant to see if it long enough for a particular job, rather than simply whack a length off of a new $200 roll. I opted for the TS90 as our longest run is about 900' so the extra 500' with the TS 100 really isn't needed. Certainly deserves 5 Stars for accuracy, saving time, and saving money.

used to find breakage in a cat5 cable which is buried. shows distance in feet of the breakage. accurate device and the best buy i probably ever made to help keep my cameras working (which are 1400 feet away. really good device.

Seems to be very accurate in finding broken wires as well as the length of a coil of wire. Would definitely recommend

While another reviewer said that this meter is not intuitive - the instruction manual is pretty complete and makes it easy to figure it out. I give kudos on this to Fluke - for while the meter is made in China - the instruction manual was well written in clear and understandable English

We use this items to measure copper lines. It works great.

This product saved me a bundle of cash and time. I had a troublesome coaxial cable problem that was intermittent in a section of 400 feet of buried cable. The Fluke TS-90 helped me to localize the problem to within 10 feet, the readings fluctuated probably because of the varying moisture conditions in the cable. I purchaed a Fluke Pro3000 Toner and Probe to get a more accurate fix of the problem, but that was no help. Using the TS-90 initial location indications I went to the nearest old cable splice; I respliced and sealed the cable junction and the problem totally disappeared. I am very happy with the TS-90 because I was able to locate the cable problem without several cable excavations or splicing operations.

I had a dead short in a complex circuit in our 120 volt house wiring. Using the TS90 I was able track the short to a general location and then open junction boxes and check individual branches to locate the short. I worked with the 5 foot accuracy in a circuit of 265 feet total length.

The only reason this gets four stars is that it is more expensive than competing units. As far as function, it has proven tor be spot-on accurate in our testing and is a real time-saver in the field as well as for checking wire length left in a box before a long pull not to mention the tremendous help in troubleshooting. We have been able to avoid cutting holes in finished drywall because we were able to narrow down the location of opens and shorts during troubleshooting of Cat5/6 and RG-6 cable installations.
