Mikuni Smoothbore Intake Parts - Air Cleaner Element HS42/012

I replaced my AIR filter of 17 yrs, after taking off the old one it would not fit back to the CARB, but it did a grate job for the 17 yrs and I know the new one will be just as good.

Good quality, bolted right up. A good fit.

Too big for my mikuni vm 34...so I returned it...

Excellent as described but need other parts to install

I dislike the fact that the stainless steel large round clamp failed on the first time installation. The small, fine slots in the SS restraint band are too weak to allow even hand tightening by a normal male human being. When the screw would not tighten fully during initial installation, I found deformed slots where the screw threads had been tightened on them, and they simply could not bear the force of tightening. This Mikuni / K&N filter is excellent in all other aspects, but the weak material the SS clamp is formed from is totally inadequate to the task.How can I get it replaced, and perhaps some additional spare clamps as well???

This is a stock replacement, yet is LARGE, with significant overhang that interferes with accessing choke on my softtail. Get jokes/razed about it looking like a UFO or leech attached to my bike....

Rubber came apart and filter was junk within 3 days of normal nice weather riding. Was not able to return or warranty. Save your money
