I would recommend this book
This is a way more refined version of the web novell, even though its still the same content (except more in depth/minor details) its a more enjoyable read for sure. This light novel is super interesting, if your into fantasy/reincarnation novels you'll probably enjoy this. This novel has a good story, some character growth and good world building. Id say the only thing i dislike about this novel is the main character is super chunibyou and perhaps the no romance (i think mc doesn't care about love not sure, could be implemented later if this novel goes past the 4th volume). My complaints are really just for myself though.

Still My Favorite (WN reader's POV) (Spoiler-free)
Don't take this novel too seriously; the moment you fail to suspend disbelief is the moment things will begin to unravel. On the other hand, if you're prepared for a novel with an absurd premise that is executed unflinchingly, then you're in for a very fun ride. That's how it was for me, anyway. More about that below if you're interested.I had read the web novel version of this story months ago. It instantly became a favorite. When I initially saw this listing, I was very tempted to buy it on the spot, but something gave me pause. I liked the original so much I was worried that this translation might (even if only on minor points) taint the memory I had of the story. Fortunately, that turned out not to be the case. While the introduction presents itself in a less impactful way than I'd hoped (or expected rather) the rest of the novel is very pleasantly translated. It's a breeze to read through. One typo throughout the entire thing, iirc. More importantly though, the characters retain their complete personalities, and, in my opinion, the story is only made clearer.Regarding the extra story content, there's not much new to take in. But the additions are nice and are sure to put a smile on every returning reader's face. Overall, I'm very excited for Vol.2. Much appreciation and respect to everyone who made this novelization possible.

Amusing, but shallow.
One of the great things about novels is that they allow an author to develop characters, the world, and sometimes even the society with a depth that manga and anime both struggle to. However, I feel that in this instance, the other adaptations are likely the superior products. The story itself is amusing. It's basically about a guy who wants to pretend that he's a badass of the underworld, and somehow accidentally sets up an actual underworld ring. Everything in the story is a way to build up to his next big reveal.Where the story falls short, however, is in character and world development. The Character development for the entire supporting cast is pretty much only skin deep, and the world is an afterthought. It's still a fun novel, but as I said before, due to the shallow nature of the novels, I feel that the Manga or Anime adaptations are likely more suited to the story.

Fun story
Highly recommend this story. One of the better isekai type stories. A few generic tropes, but overall it is very unique.

Absolute Must Read For Fans
My favorite series to date. Seen the anime first and purchased both seasons even.I read from cover to cover and picked up Vol 2 immediately after. I think it’s excellent.

a story that really draws you in
this is a reincarnated to another world story, but it quickly moves beyond that premise and gets into what is a really good story, there's a but of a mystery around what's really going on and while the main character is the shadow master of his dreams not even he realizes the gravity of what he's done which is I think an unique idea in the genre the trope in these stories is to make the main character all powerful, and here that is true but in this case he isn't all knowledgeable not even he understands just what is being done in his name. Also as a personal not this in in hardback unlike most light novel and as someone who collects and rereads books its a real plus
