Long road trip at 80+ mph the entire way. Needed a semi-long term solution to transport bikes as we use them a handful of times a year. Compared a bunch of options. This met/exceeded expectations. Great bang for your buck. Deciding criteria: +sturdy design, no flimsy bits like some others +can lock it into place +fit up to 4 bikes +easily collapsable Reason for not buying the next level upgrade? I don't need to lock each bike individually. this model doesn't have individual locks, just straps. so.. i used a bike lock. problem solved.

I went online looking for a bike rack that would all 4 of my bikes and I came across this one. I gotta say this one was perfect for my needs because not only does it carry all my bikes but the quality (make of it) is great. It’s construction was well done for something that has to be partially assembled. The other things that make is a great buy is that it securely locks to my trailer hitch with a added bonus of a key lock. The fold away bike carrier arms and the tilt arm (to access the truck) is completely easy with the quick release latches. The only down side but honestly it was because of my choice in model is the Tether strapped used to secure the bikes. I should have gotten then one with the rubber strap because it’s a little faster to. I definitely recommend this bike rack for people in the market for one.

Hi, I am a novice avid cycler that have used a wide range of bikes and equipment. I have purchased different versions of this rack. What I like about it is the price point, at less than $200(Depending on which version), it’s a great deal for what you get. The tilt-over levers are easy to use and feels much nicer than comparable racks from different brands. I insert the base into the hitch receiver much further in that the detent is pass the hole on the receiver. This creates a very stable system, which is what you want when carrying multiple bikes or very heavy ebikes. I usually have the locking wedge right at the end of the receiver hole. The locking mechanism is very nice as well as it locks the rack into the vehicle and prevents it from rocking and making noise. The rack is constructed of heavy steel, which makes it very sturdy but heavier than aluminum racks. My only gripe with this rack is the straps, they are useless for holding down the bikes and do not feel confident driving highway speed with them. What I ended up doing is using bungee cords to pull the bike downwards to keep them in place. I did this by looping the bungee at the crank arm/pedal to the receiver chain loops. Another thing I did is tighten all the hardware so that the pieces fit snugly to each other and use chain lube to keep them from binding. With this, the rack is dead quiet.

I’ve used this bike rack for a season now, it has performed well. Love the fold down feature for the horizontal bike holder and it tips out of the way to open the back door of the SUV. I found it easy to assemble. The only thing I do is add a Velcro strap over the bike tie straps for that little bit of added security when carting bikes on the highway, around town I just use the straps that come with the rack. Use a bungy to keep the bike from rocking. Seems like a good sturdy bike rack, hope to have it for many years.

Just got this rack delivered and within 20 mins we had it on our car and we’re headed off to a bike trail. Easy to install/setup, strong, easy to use, easy to access tune of my mini van, etc. I love that it locks onto my car so I don’t have to worry about anyone stealing it. I easily fit 3 adult bikes on it today and I have plenty of room for a 4th bike when we are ready. So far I love everything about this bike rack. The only thing I could think that could improve it is if the bikes could actually be locked onto the rack somehow. Just a little strap doesn’t seem very secure to me for our expensive bikes.

Bought this for BMX bikes. It took us a minute to figure out getting it together and on the car, but overall very pleased. I feel like it's well made and not worried about the bikes bike there. I love how you can flip it down when you are not using it and the easy open to get into the back of the car. Overall use weekly and would purchase again.

Fit perfectly into 2 inch receiver. Unlocked and turned the tension as tight as I could to secure it in the receiver which ultimately eliminates any swaying. A perfect secure fit!!! Though I do have 4 bikes I will never be transporting more than 2 and I do recommend the rack that is made to transport 4. I placed the first bike on and it would have been quite a task to put the 2nd one on without skipping the 2nd seating. (I’m not saying it’s impossible to do but it would require some work to squeeze 4 bikes on here). Drove over 60 miles and the rack/bikes had no movement at all!!! Love it!!! Great value and very well made!!!

I only needed a rack for 2 bikes but I figured I'd future proof myself and get the 4 bike model. So far I'm very happy with it. It was easy to set up, took maybe 5 minutes. It fit into the hitch receiver perfectly. My only gripe with it is the strap system, it uses the backpack type strap adjusters which don't seem very secure with a lot of vibration. But haven't had an issue with them yet. The arms holding the bikes fold down and you can lean the rack back to gain access to your trunk.
