Thermos Stainless Steel Hydration Bottle, 18-Ounce, Pop of Pink

I am very particular about my water bottle. The best water bottle ever. This is my second bottle of the very same product. When I found this pretty patterned one, I gave my other one to my son and he is loving it, too. It is pricey, but I feel it is well worth the price. My original bottle, I probably had it for over ten years and it still looks and works as new. It keeps the water icy cold, if you put some ice in, for hours which is nice during hot summer months. It does not leak, and the lid doesn't pop open in a bag by accident. The "Funtainer" which is the same product, just smaller size as they are primarily made for kids, are available everywhere, but it is so difficult to find this larger size. I don't know why! I sing, and I always carry a water bottle with me. I pretty much keep this in the car. I don't like to screw open my water bottle and drink as if it's a glass of water. I really like the fact that you can use the straw to drink, and you don't have to lift the bottle to drink, so you can even discretely drink water when it is not so appropriate to lift a bit bottle to drink. I highly recommend this bottle. I only wish this product were more widely available.

DIsappointed. I have had MANY of these Thermos straw bottles over the years. For work I am in and out of my car so needed something to keep my ice water cold. IT's May 11 and my ice melted within the first hour! The older ones are better so off to search for those. This will not last in a car throughout the summer. I am sad :-( EDITED next day: So last night I put 5-6 large ice cubes in along with ice cold water. It stayed mostly shut on my bedside table in an air conditioned room. This morning all the ice was melted and the water was warm! This is ridiculous and thinking mine may be defective. I have 2 older bottles (one leaks) and 2 smaller bottles. I'm going to have to start using the smaller bottles to keep cold water with me. This was a waste of money.

I am not completely certain that this is actually a thermos. The mouth piece isn't as nice as the Funtainer ones we have bought previously. The bottle says thermos, but it isn't the usual high quality I expect from thermos. The straw is fused together from two pieces, and is quite rough, whereas the Funtainer bottles I have for my children have a single smooth piece for the part you drink from. It surprised me, too, that this bottle's mouthpiece is not interchangeable with the Funtainer bottles. I'm giving it a three, because it doesn't leak, and it does keep things cold for a long time. I would rank it higher if the mouthpiece/straw was smoother, and if I felt more confident that this was a thermos.

I was looking for something that was not too tall and this just fit my requirement. It is a pretty nice bottle that keeps water cold for a good extensive period. I myself can vouch for 5-6 hours. You can even store hot beverages and it will keep them warm. But you may not be able to drink hot liquid directly from the bottle because it has a straw to pull the liquid up. And you might burn yourself. You can always pour it in another glass. Cleaning is quite easy too. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a short thermos bottle that fits easily in a bag.

We typically buy these Thermoses once a year, not because they need replacing, because they take such a beating from our two elementary school kids that it looks like a pinata after a packed birthday party. These things are built like tanks and can take massive abuse from little ones and keep on working. The thermos is the best we have found for keeping drinks cool and hot, while adding the protection needed for kids. I really appreciate the straw is tucked inside the cap and you have to actively press the button to open it. They have just the right amount of tension that it doesn't pop open easily, but is still accessible for little fingers. The top portion screws off for easy cleaning, and the components don't seem to rust, which is ideal. I'd recommend this for any parent looking for a way to keep their kids hydrated or as a daily water carrier for lunches and snacks.

Bad quality! It has serirous plastic taste!

This keeps drinks cold for over 24 hours! My daughter uses this for her Dutch Brother's coffee every day. She is not allowed to have containers that could spill in her work area and this design makes that problem go away. The straw pops out of the cap for better cleaning and has survived the dishwasher with ease! The bottle even fits into her car's small cup holder. She LOVES her cup!! She also likes the artistic bottle design.

The straw assembly (white opaque plastic or silicone) is too soft, unlike the one in the 12 oz Funtainer Thermos bottle which is firmer. The result is when I twisted the cap on the bottle to close, the straw got twisted out of position and the bottle leaked in the horizontal position. Since it's a tall bottle, it's difficult to keep it in upright position most of the time. The leaking doesn't happen with the 2 Funtainer bottles I got.
