Great tool for catching the candid moments with camera aware kiddos
Worked great for my needs. Great functions and options -- works as described. Easy to program. So easy in fact that I thought I could toss the instructions -- that was a mistake. While it is user friendly I needed a refresher the next time I needed to change the functions -- oops. keep the instructions just in case;)

Works at 98 yards
Polaroid 2.4 GHz Wireless Timer RemoteItem # PLRTWCReceived 07082017. Paid $32.47Does NOT come with batteries. Requires 2 AAA for the remote and 1 CR2 for the receiver. Also, it did not come with instructions !Having experience with several digital devices, it was fairly easy to figure out how to make it work. The small receiver ( that connects to my Canon Rebel T3i ) has a small ON/OFF switch on the right side. The remote has no switch, but does power down the LCD display after about 30 seconds of no use.So far, it works very well.I managed to take several dozen test photos. It worked well each time.I also tested the remote range by walking 100 big steps from the camera (about 98 actual yards).I was able to take singles, and then program the remote to take a series of interval photos at that distance. So far I am pleased with the results and will update this review if problems develop.4 stars because no batteries or manual

wireless doesn't stay paired
It's a nice unit but wireless doesn't stay paired and using it wired seems to suck down the power as if wireless was running. It otherwise works as designed with my Canon 60D. I've since bought a Neewer brand wired intervalometer as a back up because of the battery drain on this one and it has become my primary unit instead of the backup. I'd prefer the wireless if it was reliable but the 30% cheaper wired is a better wired unit plus it uses commodity AAA batteries not the CR2 this one takes.

Does just what you need it to. Count only ...
Does just what you need it to. Count only goes up to 399 but you can set it to go forever if you need more exposures. It won't work for exposures less than a second long.

A good intervelometer for the price, and wireless!
Works as advertised. NOTE: batteries are NOT included and you'll have to go to a store to get the CR2 battery required for the receiver. Tried it on my Canon 70D and worked like a champ. Have not played with the time-lapse yet... But it makes for a great wireless shutter release (Canon 70D can do that with a phone app as well)

HUGE Disappointment
I have been *trying* to use this shutter remote for over a year and it has NEVER worked reliably for me. NEVER. It's not batteries, it's not distance from the camera, it's not user error. The damn thing is so inconsistent with whether the remote and the receiver will communicate with each other. Worthless. 90% of the time I pulled my old wired cable release out of the bag and used it. Now I am finally looking to purchase a replacement for this POS. Maybe I got a dud, I don't know, but Polaroid, if you're listening: this was a HUGE disappointment!!

The timer works just fine if it is connected with a cable
Note that the antenna is not built in, it plugs in at the top. That is the wire shown in the 5th picture. After using this three or four times in the last couple of years, the transmitter does not connect with the shutter release. The system failed just when I needed it. I suspect that the antenna has died. The timer works just fine if it is connected with a cable. I have not been able to find a replacement antenna. So I would not recommend it to anyone. Typical of a product made in China, failure after a couple of uses.

Great product.
I bought the wireless version and the provided 3 pin cable was compatible with my Canon 5D Mark III. It works as intended. I am able to set start time, interval between shots, duration of each shot (In order to set a duration of exposure other than what the camera determines in automatic modes, the camera needs to be in Bulb mode), number of shots. Great product.

Good Product
This works well from the get go. Not only unexpected quick delivery. Works Flawlessly with Canon EOS 7D. Easy to program. Seems like a quality product for the price. Not sure of the battery life you can expect since it is always on, however it goes into a type of sleep mode very quickly turning off the display at least. Haven't tried the pairing receiver as yet as it requires a CR2 Battery which I don't have on hand.
