HDMI Version - Memory Loss Digital Calendar Day Clock/with no Confusing abbreviations (Monitor not Included)

This is the third clock I tried for my father with macular degeneration. It's the only one that worked. The HDMI connection to the large monitor (24") provided the perfect resolution for his vision challenges. In addition to the large numerals (time) in the middle of the screen, having the large day of the week at the top of the screen is really helpful to him. He has trouble seeing the month/day/year at the bottom of the screen, as these are much smaller, but he can still manage it if he works at it a bit. This is a very helpful product to have...highly recommended.

Bought one of these a year ago for 90 year old mother-in-law and it crashed and burned. She can't get by without this style so bought a second one and hoping it lasts a bit longer. First one may have been dropped so maybe not an issue with quality.Update Jan 2016: Contacted seller about warranty replacement for second purchase and they were VERY helpful. They replaced the product with the standard version by priority mail and issued a credit for the difference in price. Arnie went above and beyond to satisfy our needs. Great supplier to deal with.

Ordered for my husband who is experiencing confusion due to cancer of the brain. The clock keeps him oriented as to day, date and time. He was having trouble with determining day/night. The a.m./p.m. is a brilliant addition to this clock.

Works wonderfully. I bought a used flat screen monitor that used HDMI off of Craigslist (paid $30 for a 20 inch) and I hooked it up to the clock/day/date keeper. Now my 81 year old mother can see it from way across the room. Everyone love this thing.Would I buy it again knowing what I know now? Yes, in a heartbeat. You do need to make sure it is the HDMI Version (Amazon sells another one that doesn't have HDMI port on it) and you need to make sure the monitor you buy has the HDMI port (and of course you need to have an HDMI cable).

This has been an excellent product for my 92 year old grandmother. Instead of buying this for her for dementia, I bought it as she has severe vision loss. I plugged the clock into an extra TV set in her bedroom and she has a giant, TV sized clock now. She is in a nursing home and it allows her to always know the time and the day. It has been such a huge hit at her nursing home that two of the workers there have bought ones for their own families. Other reviewers have said it's "a little pricey", but I would not give it lesser stars for that fact. There appear to be no other products like this available, anywhere, and the benefits are so huge that I was happy with the price. It was easy to set up. I've had it plugged in and turned on constantly for 2 months now, and there has not been any problems.

Really nice clock.If only my dad could remember that the clock was on the wall in front of him.
