The tool holster is an absolute game changer!
This comes with a bunch of very useful widgets. I was concerned about not being able to switch the side of the release lever on these, but i do think for most tools that the fixed orientation of these ones is the right one. I might get another pro clip later on, I'm thinking having 3 of these clips might be ideal and 4 should be overkill, but it probably makes sense if you also go for attaching spider pins to a hammer and tape measure too. I think even with a normal 1.25 inch belt, the spider holster adds a lot of comfort to clipping on heavy tools. It's more flexible than the belt clip that comes with tools because it can rotate. I suggest trying different positions with the set screw tightening clips to see where you can get really good ergonomics with it. It is absolutely comfortable with any normal belt to hang lighter 12v tools and stuff like water bottles, tape measure, etc. I got a massive 4 inch wide tool belt and I'm realizing it's overkill but that thing will make it really comfortable to hang huge 18V tools and huge amounts of nails/screws and an entire half the toolbox on your person. I was going to make the spider holster a centerpiece of that rig, which it will be, but most of the time I will simply be clipping the spider holster on my regular pants belt and it will be more than adequate (I'm not in the trades, I just got really tired of inefficiently walking back and forth picking up and putting down my tools when working on home improvements). On my M12 tools the screw for the clip (which I used with the separately purchased tool pins) is near the top, this can make it harder to reach and I think I would prefer a lefty style holster clip, which I will need to get, but either way it's still really easy to disengage the lock. On all the tools that you bount the pin/nub on the bottom of the tool (like larger tools like M18 and all of the tools i use the set screw clip on, where it will go on the bottom of the grip) it hangs down and the holster clip lock release is completely effortless to reach. Those "pro tool grip" clips actually were the biggest surprise of this kit. Because they use the perfect material so it attaches really firmly to your tool, all the while not digging into and damaging the rubber grip of the tool, so it's a great way to get a great deal of control over where to put the pin/nub on the tool. I have several M12 tools that have no screw attachment for the screw pins, and these work GREAT on them. After seeing these I am not sure there is a point to the "elastic attachment strap" product. I'm sure that one is also great but these set screw tightening clips are really secure and much cheaper. I was reading about drill holsters but I just knew that there had to be something better. This design is better because you are not strapping on a large 5 inch wide contraption that can only be used for a few things. With these holster clips you're able to do so much more with less bulk. Now, you do gotta buy into the platform, but I'd say the value is definitely there, and the quality is top notch. I love the bit holders too. At first I was slightly disappointed that these weren't the magnetic ones but these could very well be even better than the magnetic ones... There is no more convenient place to store bits than on the tool itself If you're concerned about cost I bet it's pretty easy to design something yourself that has the right shape.

Love this system!!
This has been - by far - my favorite method of carrying my tools around while on a job. It's SOOO quick and easy to take the tool on and off my belt with this. I bought the "Quad" kit, and I've used most of it. In fact, I've found that most days I just slide the clip onto my belt just in case I need to grab my impact driver at some point during the day. I know that seems a little crazy but it's quarantine we're all crazy now. I've hand no trouble sliding my tools in and out of the clip. And when I'm moving around a ton it's nice to know that the lock will keep the tool in place. I've never had it slip out on me, like I have with other tool holders. The bit holders I initially viewed as a silly throw-in, and now they might be my favorite part of the kit. I absolutely LOVE these things. I put two of them on my DeWalt impact driver and I have all six slots loaded at all times with the 6 bits that I use the most often. I gave this system 5 stars and I stand by it. That doesn't mean there aren't things I dislike though. They just aren't enough to keep me from absolutely loving this system. But here they are anyway: - the "open" mechanism simply doesn't stay in place. There's a lever you lift up to release the tool, and if you pull it all the way up it supposedly sticks there and now you can take a tool on and off and it won't be locked in place. I like this feature for the times when I'm doing something where I need my drill in rapid succession. I also like it for times when I'm purely taking measurements and I want to be able to quickly take a tape measure on and off the clip. But the mechanism locks back down SUPER easily so that feature is essentially worthless. Hopefully they'll fix that in the future. I wouldn't even mind having a clip with no lock at all (they could make it a different color to keep track or something). - the bit holders - which I adore - are billed as being able to hold up to 6 bits in each unit as long as they're the stubby kind that you put into an extension bit. Yes, this is technically possible and I did it for a while, but I found that those bits fall out much too easily. Now I only keep full-sized bits in those sleeves so they fit 3 in each unit. I just put two of them on one drill and then I have six bits again :) - while I like the design, I will say that the tools get a little wobbly on you, and rotate into awkward positions. If there's a bit in your drill, sometimes that ends up poking you a little. It's not the end of the world, but a minor annoyance. - I've put the straps on heavier tools, but naturally I've found there's a limit. Frankly, this isn't for anything much heavier than a hammer drill. I have the straps on my drill, driver, and a cable stapler I use, and that last one is the heaviest I go. I tried it on a cordless brad nailer once and it was way too heavy for my belt and pants to hold up comfortably. That's it! I love this system and strongly recommend it.

Best add on for tools
I’ll tell you this much , I’m a carpenter by trade . Been doing it for close to 20 years now . I was skeptical because I saw the Velcro . DO NOT BE PUT OFF BECAUSE OF THAT !! This is one of the best purchases for an add on that I have made . It is put together very well and works like a charm . It has the ability to be locked on the clip . It has a small trigger that has to be pressed in order for the drill or whatever u use it for to come out and can either lock it open or use the trigger every time . The trigger is placed perfect so when u grab the tool it feels natural to press as u pull the drill out . You shouldn’t be disappointed. I say shouldn’t because sometimes things are damaged during travel . That’s it . Otherwise you WILL BE HAPPY WITH IT ( I will note that this wasn’t a paid review of any sort , I’m just really happy with it ) by no means does it feel cheap , that’s because it was well built Honest Con about it ? The little stick on drill bit holder won’t stick to dirty surfaces and I use it for roofing so I don’t use that part but I do put it with the bits in my pocket

Incredible product, could be made more durable.
Incredible idea. Get product. Works well. I am a gutter installer and it worked incredibly until the stitching came out. It’s unfortunate but the functionality of this product I do enjoy how quick and easy it is to quickdraw. I do a lot of bending and squatting on rooftops where it puts tension on the drill and the holster itself and that is the reason it pulled apart. I kept the holster my from right hip. Placement of this product is crucial to keep tension off of it. Other than that it locks in well, I never had an issue with anything else. Rubberized inner cuff grips my drill and does not spin. Good product but construction could be more sturdy by being built into the spandex cuff not stitched inside with one thread count. Lasted 2 months with 5 day 8-10 hour days. Heavy use.

Great idea, poor execution, PLEASE SEE EDIT
Save yourself time and money. The bit holders do not stay on worth a damn. This was after giving the area some teeth and cleaning thoroughly. You will want to apply with some C.A. The actual strap that goes around the drill or impact driver doesn't really work on Dewalt units. After trying on six different units I do not like it as the motor does not hang right and sits up way to high on my hip. Its unnatural and a pain in my butt. They need to make a rigid lanyard for the motor to hang down further and this way the motor will hang right. The center of gravity is all off. The metal clip that comes on most dewalts hangs almost even with the end of the battery (2ma). This is a great concept but not totally thought through. The adhesive used on the bit accessory holder probably, and should be a nonaerobic. EDIT: Since this company came out with the screw in pins that can be implanted where the normal belt clips are attached it has made the balance MUCH improved. Three items of importance: 1. The adhesives still require improvement. I am using shoe glue on a wrap for one DeWalt and the 3000 adhesive on a different DeWalt. Seems both are doing better than expected. 2. The screw in pins MUST be inserted with a coat of REMOVABLE Loctite. Nothing like $200 drill falling from 12'. Because of a weird angled job over two days, somehow the pin unscrewed and committed suicide due to operator error. I wish these guys would precoat the pin threads with a Loctite type adhesive. 3. I purchased 2 pins for each motor for efficiency when the only area access is on the other side of my body. SUMMARY: Still rated it a five star because it's easy to use, built hardy, and customizable.

Almost perfect for HVAC
Was everything I hoped it would be. I bought this for my work as a residential HVAC tech. From my big power drill and impact, to my compact impact this does exactly what I want. It's small and compact, the clip can move around my belt pretty easily so if I need it more in front or on the side as i navigate someone's house it's no problem, but stays where I left it on my belt and doesn't move till I wish it. It's very sturdy and makeing the drill off and on is very easy. I used the mount on the shelf on my van so when I go to grab/drop off my tool bag it's right there where I need it but out of the way of everything else. The one gripe I have is the bit holder. I primarily use nut driver bits but the bit holder is a bit to small for them especially the 3/8, 7/16, and 1/2 bits. I found my self taking the holder off when I tried to get the bit, but a little gorilla glue and all is well. The bits can be a bit hard to get out of the holder still though. If you use nut driver bits the bit holder is ok but if you use the flat head, Phillips head, etc. You should be fine and will probably even really like it. But apart that everything is what I hoped it would be.

Best secure impact gun
I bought mine in 2022 and its still going strong. I mostly have a Mikita impact gun on it and it does great while I Climb ladders or carry set pieces. Highly recommend

Not just for power tools!
I really like the versatility of this product, the design makes it an almost universal holster system for anything the straps will securely fit around. It also seems to be quite durable, having a strong elasticity and made of quality materials. My use is a little ridiculous, trust me...I know. I like to use these holster devices to carry my swords in anyway I want. Throw the clip(s) on a vest or on your belt and BAM, you can attach your blade and take it off anytime you need. Gotta fit through a tight crevis but your blade is in the way? No problem! Slide it out of the clip(s) and throw it back on when you're ready. Got it mounted to your back and afraid it'll take some time and coordination to attach it again? Not with this $#!t, get one locked and the other is a piece of cake! (Get 2 clips and straps if you're gonna throw it on a sword.) I've been looking for a system like this for a while now and it may not be perfect, but it does a pretty good job, especially if you get creative. Pics show how the straps are attached to the blades sheath as well as how it looks with the clips on and off. Plus a few pics to "show off". Hope this helps :D
