My Go-To for a Perfect, Soothing Cup of Green Tea – Here's How I Brew It!
Oh, where do I even begin with Harney & Sons Japanese Sencha Teabags? If you're a fan of green tea, or even if you're just looking to dip your toes into the world of quality sencha, these are an absolute gem. After spending a great deal of time agonizing over which to try as my first foray into brewing my own green tea, these definitely exceeded my expectations. What I love most about this sencha is its incredibly fresh, vibrant flavor. It has that characteristic grassy, slightly oceanic note that good sencha should have, but it's never bitter or overwhelming. It's just wonderfully smooth and refreshing, making it perfect for any time of day – whether I need a gentle pick-me-up in the morning or a calming moment in the afternoon. Now, for brewing that perfect cup, here's my little ritual: Water Temperature is Key! This is super important for sencha. You don't want boiling water, as it can make green tea bitter. I usually boil my water and then let it sit for about 2-3 minutes to cool down a bit, aiming for around 175-180°F (or just when the bubbles are starting to form, but not a rolling boil). Steep Time Matters: Place one teabag in your favorite mug. Pour the slightly cooled hot water over the bag. I find that about 2 minutes of steeping is ideal for a lovely, bright flavor. If you like it a little stronger, you can go up to 3 minutes, but I wouldn't go much longer than that to avoid bitterness. My Little Sweet Touch: Once it's steeped to perfection, I remove the teabag and add just a tiny drizzle of honey. It really complements the natural notes of the sencha beautifully, adding a subtle sweetness without overpowering the delicate tea flavor. The convenience of the teabags is fantastic for busy mornings, but you're definitely not sacrificing quality. Each cup feels like a little moment of calm and refreshment. If you're searching for a high-quality, delicious sencha that's easy to prepare and consistently delightful, look no further. This one gets a full five stars from me!

I like this green tea. When brewed it has a nice greenish color and mild flavor.

Good Tasting Tea
The flavor of this tea is very nice but I have to use two tea bags in my 15 oz mug to achieve the strength I desire, so I am not sure if it is a good deal overall for me. That said, I would buy it again but maybe in a larger quantity.

Very nice
Have never been a green tea drinker but decided since I love all Harney and Sons tea, I would try this. Yep, convert now. This is my go to, Sencha green. I quit coffee because of this tea! Long time coffee drinker.

First time trying this flavor and I am hooked
I love the smoothness and taste of this green tea. I've steeped both short and long periods and it is never bitter. The aroma is soothing and can be consumed with or without an added sweetener. I truly recommend this tea.

Haha However my tea bags were fine so I can't complain too much
The tea of course is yummy. Very earthy which is what I crave when having a Japenese Sencha. The only thing that kind of bothered me was my packaged arrived smashed. Haha However my tea bags were fine so I can't complain too much. Either way I love the tea!

It’s ok. Tastes pretty green more like a grass or alfalfa flavor to it it seems. Won’t be getting again

Using like medicine, but it is very drinkable
I saw someone on tv say if you drank Japanese Sencha green tea and Jasmine green tea a cup of each every day it would prevent cancer so I have been doing this and I like this brand of tea, the tea bags or plump like your getting your moneys worth , it always seems fresh and its very drinkable, I keep ordering this same brand.
