As a non-artist, this made my artistic daughter very happy
Not sure how much weight this review will give the product, but hey, it's from my perspective. $80 for markers is hard to swallow when you don't use it as your tool of the trade, especially as a dad. However, these seem to be a pretty damn good value considering the QUALITY of what you're getting. The markers all have extra tips that I guess you could use to blend colors. Everything looks solid. The carry case is pretty nice. It comes with extra tips, so the modular design is nice to have. The COLORS are pretty vivid. You will not get the crappy washed-out look when using these. They are SOLID, VIVID colors that POP. HIGHLY recommended for the artist in your life. I never understood why these things were so expensive... guess I do now.

Great idea, watching their videos is a MUST to understand these pens
LOVE these pens. The difference is not fully described here in the product info. Like many other pens, these pens have two nibs, a softer 'brush' nib and a harder 'bullet' nib. What they have that other pens do not is a center chamber that contains a toning medium. You uncap the end of the pen with the nib you want to use, and then you touch the nib to the nib in the toning medium chamber. The toning medium is transfered to the color nib, lightening the color. How long you touch the two nibs together - color to toning - is what controls how much toning medium is transferred and therefore how light the color becomes. When you start to use the pen, the color flows back into the nib, and the color gets darker and darker, back to the original shade. This allows you to do shading, because you can start with a lighter color, keep coloring, and the ink darkens. Hard to describe, I suggest you go to the manufacturers website and view some of their excellent videos. I like these because I don't have to buy multiple pens in the same color to get different shades. I also love that they are refillable, and that all the nibs can be changed.

Amazing Markers
They are incredible. I am not an artist and I love it when I can use them. Great purchase.

Good for the casual user, those new to art markers
I am not a professional artist, primarily a crafter. That said, I freely admit that I cannot draw a stick figure, though I do love playing with colors. I am using these pens in paper crafts (stamping, cards) and in coloring books. I'm enjoying playing with these markers. Not being great at using traditional markers to create color lightness and depth, I find these markers to be a great way to achieve tonal shading with minimal knowledge/skill. It can be a little cumbersome to have to constantly touch the alcohol tip to the marker point, and you do have to pay attention to how long they are in contact to get consistent results on a project. This set contains a good amount of colors, and the colors will blend to create new colors. For coloring, these markers do bleed through to the back of the page, and sometimes to the net page if the paper is thin. However, I am finding that I generally like the bleed through side as well as I like the side I colored on! It gives a more water-colored look, and doesn't show the drawing or lines that you colored within. I don't know if these are great for pros (I would think the starting and stopping to touch the two tips together would be annoying to a pro), but for a casual user like me who is using them for pleasure and with no deadlines, I recommend trying a smaller pack to see what you think before investing in a larger set like this one. Also, they are a bit pricey for me to share with kids, though teens would probably enjoy them a lot.

The best in comparrison $$ & product
These have by far exceded my expectations of what they were or coukd be when i ordered them, i didnt quite understood how theynworked i just compared the product and price to copic bc i love to get best bag fir my buck and when i goy them i had to read the instructions twice of course i just seen the stars and looked at the pics and didnt read the reviews...but the learning proccess is just part of the fun but if ur looking for a good stress reducer and u have an adult coloring book that is blank on one side kf the page u can easily solve the bleeding part by putting a few pages under it or using multi median paper or paper specifically made for use with markers, anyone who complains about these dont have the patience to work with them, so if u dont have patience and would rather just have more colors to choose from these arent the markers for u, but what i like the best is that i can get the 22 set and maybe a few of the 5 packs to get all colors i could ever need and maybe the refills and have the same set of markers for years to come i might never need to buy another expensive set again.and the refill inks look like thet give more then one refill so compared to others 😘.You can do the math but everyones different.Just Know these are well worth the time amd 🤑 money!!!and im by no means rich nore could i aford these the first yime i seen them but they were well worth saving up for and the best thing about amazon is sometimes the prices drop!!! So 100 $set -20 on the reg +another -13 Patience is a virtue!!

Great addition for the skilled artist.
My son watched a few YouTube tutorials on these markers and he was absolutely hooked by the idea of them. They are an excellent quality alcohol based marker that rivals Copic, but there is a substantial learning curve in their use. The “tops” are an investment in all their own, however they are not necessary to complete a wonderful work of art. These would be advanced markers in my opinion and not ones to start out with like we did. Extra nibs were included in the box set, which was a nice touch.

Also: Üben, üben, üben. Definitiv: KAUFEN!

I bought this as a present for my daughter and she loved it. Recommend everyone who likes drawing.

Where do I start... my son asked for these they sounded great I googled them I saw the Price and freaked pens £70 and you only get 20 in the pack because two other ones are just blenders and outlines.... I digged further, read reviews, looked at images I even looked to get them cheaper (I'm not an artist) at this price my brain was telling me I should be able to draw just by the Flick of the pen they looked that good but knowing I can't even draw a Stickman and my brain creates pictures that I definitely cannot put on paper I still thought these would definitely not worth the price because they cannot make my pictures look like art... (I still have no idea not used them) anyway I was so fixated on the price as I could not understand how pens could be so much my son then explained that individually they cost three pound but I don't look at cost individually I look at it as a whole... I decided I would get them as they would be a birthday present as long as he really wants them and is not going to throw them in the corner after a a few hours... WOW was I surprised the pens are magnificent although I have not tested them I do believe my stickman would look like art. I love the fact that they are refillable and the nibs are replaceable ensuring you get a great use of life out of them. My son has not stopped using them since he got them they have really helped shape his artistic side he always knew he could draw but I do believe these pens have highlighted it even more and encouraged him to explore further. For somebody who does not use pens in an artistic way and just buys them for colour would definitely need some practice but someone with an artistic eye would get the hang of these quite quickly. They are inspiring his artistic side with every use he wants to do more and more for me it's a god send as he would only turn to other activities to fill the waiting space for consol time. WIN WIN🥳 Colours are very nice. You will need a thick drawing surface, paper would be way too thin as the pens bleed through but that is expected with such good quality markers that are alcohol based. My son is currently using a 160 GSM sketchbook to practice on but it does bleed through I would suggest 200 GSM(grams per square meter) and above. I was shocked to see the size of the pens (L21cm D1.5cm) initially when they arrived and I was like okay the price kind of makes sense😅 the actual pen size is smaller the length is because the chamber sits on top. They are beautiful pens and do amazing stuff in the right hands. I would unfortunately recommend them. Quite upset as the bisque colour and black colour have run out of ink already don't quite know how to replace these as apparently it was only the nib that needed replacing!!! At £60 a pack they should not run out in less than two months!!
