Delicious Grilled Cheese Made Easy!
I recently bought the Nostalgia Deluxe Grilled Cheese Sandwich Toaster, and it has quickly become a favorite in my kitchen. This handy little appliance makes preparing grilled cheese sandwiches incredibly easy and fun.First off, the design is adorable and nostalgic, fitting perfectly on my countertop without taking up too much space. The toasting baskets are a brilliant feature, making it simple to place and remove the sandwiches without any fuss. Cleanup is a breeze, thanks to the easy-clean toasting baskets that are dishwasher safe.Using this toaster is straightforward. I just butter the bread, add my favorite cheese, and pop the sandwich into the toasting basket. In just a few minutes, I have a perfectly toasted, melty grilled cheese sandwich. The toaster heats evenly, ensuring that each sandwich comes out golden brown and delicious every time. What I love most about this toaster is its versatility. It's not just for grilled cheese – I've also used it to make other types of sandwiches, like ham and cheese or tuna melts, with equally fantastic results. It's great for a quick snack or an easy meal, especially when I'm in a hurry.Overall, the Nostalgia Deluxe Grilled Cheese Sandwich Toaster is a fantastic appliance that delivers on its promises. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and makes delicious sandwiches in no time. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves grilled cheese or wants a convenient way to make hot sandwiches. Five stars all the way!

Smoke detectors ran out of battery
The media could not be loaded. I got this toaster today. I left it to slow toast for exactly one hour and my grilled cheese came out looking like charcoal. Smoke detectors have been going off for nearly 50 minutes. How am I expected to eat this?Just kidding. This toaster doesn’t take an hour - It toasts perfectly grilled cheese in just minutes. It actually works great. One thing I would say is just try to keep anything you would put in your sandwich from touching the heating elements and remain within the provided baskets and it won’t start smoking on ya. I learned that back in toaster school 101. I found the slots to be adequate for toasting two regular sized slices of bread (about one half inch or one centimeter depending on your religion) with two slices of cheese in the middle. Tomorrow I’m going to go out on a limb and throw in a tomato in the middle. Wish me luck. I’ll get back to y’all with my results. I’m pretty stoked I found this cause at the moment i believe it’s the most affordable toaster on Amazon and also I love grilled cheese. Gotta go toast toast!Bobby*Update: It can handle a grilled cheese with 2 slices of 1/8” thin sliced tomato laid side by side. This is a whole nother level of awesomeness.*Update 2: After 1 week, the lettering stamped on the toaster for toast settings rubs off with the slightest touch. It’s like the ink is poor quality . I’m reducing my review to 4 stars for this. Still a good toaster for the money

Toasted cheese sandwich
Very cool great for bagels as well. Only thing when the cheese melts it runs down so the top of the bread is cheese less and the bottom full and almost dripping out. But it does a great job on toasting.

Best item you never knew you needed!!
I love this product! I got my first one as a gag gift from my mom back in middle school and let me tell you it was the best Christmas present I got that year! I ended up using it so often I broke it sadly. I used it probably every day for almost 3 years! My family also loved it very much, so when I saw it recently I just knew I had to buy myself one again. Super simple to use and it works great if you are like me and can't make a grilled cheese sandwich without burning one side.

Thrown in the garbage!
Not near as fast as a skillet, but it gets the job done without the hassle of having to mind the stovetop while preparing more sandwiches. I got mine just yesterday, and so I've only used it once - so I can't speak on the longevity of the item just yet.I like my sandwiches a bit on the brown side, and had to set it to the highest "melt" level - and then still had to toast them twice. But, the american and swiss melted GREAT and the sandwiches were DELICIOUS! The sandwich racks work well with little to no mess. The box advertises that it can do grilled ham and cheese also, and I wouldn't be surprised if those turn out great as well. The racks aren't going to allow you to get too imaginative with your creations, because they need to keep the sandwich pulled tight without the contents spilling out.Assuming that this new appliance can stand the test of time, I am going to get a lot of use out of it. For grilled cheese lovers, and at this price tag - this is a BUY.EDIT: Not a buy. It did NOT stand the test of time. After just a week, the heating element began to have a short in it, and you could only stand there and hold the lever down to get it to cook. And about two uses after that, it quit working entirely. I threw it in the garbage and will look at another brand.

Good concept but needs some work.
A product with potential but a few design flaws. First, the cage is too narrow. The instructions suggest not using thick sliced bread but that’s an understatement. I bought some sliced brioche bread, just a fraction thicker than standard white bread. I put in two slices of cheese. No way. It wouldn’t even fit in the cage. So I switched to standard Tastee-style bread with the rounded top. It fit in the cage but you had to squeeze pretty hard. When it was all the way in, with half the butter scraped off, the round top part of the bread was sticking out the top of the toaster almost an inch. I ran the toaster anyway and of course the top wasn’t toasted at all and the cheese not melted. As an engineer I follow the rule to test everything before putting it into service. The basic concept here is ok but the dimensions are not. The cages need to be at least an inch taller and the sides separated by no less than a full inch. Then try it with standard store white bread and a couple of standard cheese slices. The cage should descend without scraping the sides of the slot and the top should be fully inside.
