The quality control has slipped.
I've used these several times in the past and have always been satisfied with the quality of them. The latest set I bought has a significant amount of slop in the fit compared to previous sets. I'll be looking for another brand on my next bed project.

Solid construction, take your time with installation
I built a queen size bed frame using this hardware to provide tool-less portability as I am a college student so I move quite often. This hardware has held up very well. After a month of use there is no sign of weakness.Make sure to use the proper #8 screws so that the bracket will be held snug with a smooth face for contact with the other bracket. Use screws that are as long as you can get away with for your material.Take your time using a router and chisel to ensure proper fitment of all eight brackets. When fitment is correct, the bed rails mount solidly to the headboard/footboard with little to no wobbling.Overall I am extremely happy with the product and I plan to use this hardware again in future projects.

My husband used left over cuts from our tipi poles to make a queen size bed for our longer camp trips. It is now an indispensable piece of equipment. I would fit it in the back of the KIA if necessary!! He cut plywood for the inside into four pieces so it would pack smaller. Be sure to mark and cut accurately! Also, I would like to have the front post higher than the back ones for a little more class, but with a 10" air mattress, quilts/Pendleton blankets and four pillows, we now sleep great in the outdoors. One thing in cold weather - be sure to place wool or other insulating material under the air mattress (we also put wool on top under the flannel sheets) as the cold air goes right through these thick new air mattresses. These little hardware bed makers have changed our camp life.

I used these for a queen bed I recently built. These do exactly what they are intended to do. They work well and are solid. Great that I can take the side rails off the headboard and footboard so I can take the bed apart to move it.Be aware that they are a big pain and take time to install correctly. You have to trace out the bracket and use a chisel and router to cut away the wood for the brackets to be flush with the surface. I also used longer wood screws than what came in the package.

Sturdy
Never built a bed and made a go at a 4”x4” bunk bed, needed to be able to disassemble the rails in order to get it up stairs, basic understanding of a router or if your pretty good using a wood chisel is enough to make them work. Beds been up for over a year with no problems and two active boys

Easiest way to make a bed that disassembles
Have used these to make two beds so far. A little time consuming to router the groove for each piece. Did require some careful planning to assure each side rail was the same height and level. Like someone else posted there are no screws included but that's good because how would they know what your application is? Get the longest #8 screws your wood thickness will allow to make sure they are definitely secure. And make sure you drill in perfectly square or the screw heads won't lay flat and the two pieces will not sit flush.

Low-grade finish job
I put these on a bed I built and while they are holding up just fine, you can tell from the build quality they aren't very well made. There is left over mill slag or possibly compressed steel from cutting after forging on the sides of the hardware which means your mortise needs a little fudge room or you pound it in or you have to file it yourself. My biggest complaint is the piece that has the hook on it. You can't see form the pictures but the hook requires that you notch out space behind it in your mortise because it sticks out on the back side about 1/16 of an inch.

Hard to install
Hardware of good quality but somewhat difficult to install. I had to use a router and build two separate jigs to make neat clean indentations. When done precisely a good tight fit between the bed rail and post can be achieved. The bed rail must be at least one inch thick for satisfactory installation.
