theOpticGuru ATN X-Sight-4k Pro Smart Day/Night Scope w/Full HD Video rec, Smooth Zoom, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (Streaming, Gallery & Controls)

Ordered the scope from work because I wanted it waiting on me when I got home. I work overseas on a 4 week rotation. Scope arrived Aug 9th and I arrived home Sept 6th one day after the return policy date. My mistake because the scope I ordered turned out to be defective. Not only was the scope used but the SD card will not register, cannot upload updated firmware and the scope will not hold a zero. Was under the impression the scope was new but already had profiles saved and outdated firmware. Looks like I bought a used defective scope that I will now have to ship off to ATN and pay out of pocket to get fixed.

This scope is the epitome of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. First the good. The recording features and WiFi capabilities are very cool. Easy to set up and work well.That’s where the good ends. The picture is grainy and the scope would initially sight in then suddenly lose zero and be off paper after multiple rounds. ATN customer service is a joke. Called and put on hold for 54 mins only to get a message saying their message box was full. Sent multiple emails which weren’t answered for 6 days. Spoke to an ATN dealer I am friends with and was told off the record that when the scopes reliability catches up with its capabilities it will be a hell of a scope. Until that happens, these things are a crapshoot with some working well and some being junk. You can see the truth to his statement in these reviews.

Scope arrived in an unprotected box. Product box appeared to have been opened. I mounted it on rifle everything was fine until after I sighted it in. I returned home to study more on how to be proficient with it. I removed rifle from its case, and turned on the scope, and no retical menu or anything else. Just the digital images. I contacted ATN by email for assistance. 3 1/2 weeks later still not contact from ATN. ATN HASNO CUSTOMER SERVICE!! As far as the seller. I believe they tried to pass a used or remanufactured scope to be a new scope. I purchased a new never used or remanufactured. Bad business.

The good- the scope itself works fine. I am happy with it, but that's where the review and this package loses 2 stars. A package that is packaged together should work. Well, it didn't even after trying new batteries to replace the faulty ones and also trying to stretch the spring to give better contact. It just didn't work and still doesn't work. This sort of defeats the entire reason to own the scope, but I read all the reviews and should have known better.I've chosen to keep the scope and upgrade the IR with another company and cut my losses because I've charged, zeroed, and programmed it to several rifles. I could be nastier with this review but I'll leave it at this. You really don't get what you pay for.

The day I received my scope as I was familiarized myself with the buttons and screen. I downloaded the firmware update and installed it. After mounting it and getting ready to try it out, the scope froze up with a screen that had no reticle or indicators at all. It would not shut off or restart until I held the power button for 15 seconds. When I turned it back on it just froze up again. After some searching I found a program to download from ATN's website. I also found a video describing how to use it. I followed all the directions exactly and after doing it twice, I finally got it to work. Since then it seems to be working fine. I was very frustrated the first few hours of trying to use it.The one shot zero works great. The night vision has been awesome. The scope appeared to work fine in the cold. I did add the ABL 1500 and it quit working at 3 degrees. It started working again after i warmed it up a bit.Overall I like the scope. Just be prepared to spend some time updating the software and firmware. It also took customer service two days to get back to me. By the time they called me I had fixed most of the issues myself.

This scope has a wide variety of features that covers everything a hunter needs. It is an excellent choice for the price. You must read the documents included thoroughly in order to obtain the best results and functions. There are many additional accessories available to enhance and expand the uses this scope has to offer. I do however feel the 2AMP USB charger should be included with the cable as it is an inexpensive item that is needed for the initial charging and everything needed to operate it should be included. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this scope to others.

Be careful, this is A REALLY long scope. I liked that ATN included multiple mounting brackets for the scope but no matter how I put them on it's just too long for my PCP Rifle. End-to-end with all the attachments, it's almost two feet long. Also, I haven't been able to get the night vision to work without the flashlight, and even then you can only see out to about 20 yards. If this was just a day scope with a lower price I'd be happy but the night vision functionality just isn't good enough for me.

I recently ordered the ATN X-Sight 4K Pro and after receiving it realized there were a couple missing items. Contacted ATN representative Faris Oran who listened to my issues and is doing an excellent job taking care of the issues. If you are interested in getting a cost efficient day/night hunting scope this would be one that I would highly recommend.
