Great tank, looks good in the bed of my truck.
I installed this 37 gallon auxiliary diesel tank in the bed of my 2015 F350SRW so I could increase my range while towing my 43’ 5th wheel. I gave it 4 stars because the mounting bolts and springs did not come with the tank and I was under the impression that they were included, the packing box was damaged so the hardware could have fallen out during shipment. The high density self adhesive foam was included and worked very well, I put 5 pieces under the tank and had some left over. It took a couple of hours to install the tank along with installing the tee in the fill hose. The most difficult part was the tee installation, it’s not in the most accessible location, especially for an out of shape 56 year old man, if I had to do it again I would probably remove the left rear tire. I measured 4” back from the front of the bed for the 2 side bolts and the lined up with the front cross member edge which held the tank more securely in my opinion. The rear center bolt is only through bed steel. As you can see from the photos it cleared my 5th wheel hitch front cross bar without any problem.

Not happy
First off, the tank is only 32 gallons not 37. The box instructions say the installation hardware is included, it was not. The fuel gauge on the tank also does not work, overall not happy with this package.

Installation was a challenge
This tank fits my needs, but there were many problems with the installation. The tabs provided for the mounting bolts are way too small, leaving very little flexibility in the installation. My truck (2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD) had major structural members in the way under the bed where all three tank mounting tabs were located. I had to put a spacer between the tank and the front of the truck bed to push the tank back far enough to be able to drill useful holes for mounting. Then the mounting bolts were too short. There was no way I could mount it with the provided bolts and still use the isolation springs. Fortunately I had better suited bolts on hand. I had to destroy the useless level gauge on top of the tank and most of the fittings that were also on top because they interfered with my tool box. I kept the vent, but had to cut a hole in my tool box to make room for it. I used the 12 volt solenoid valve Amazon recommended for this application and that works very well. The valve switch is on my instrument panel, so it is easy to transfer fuel to the truck's tank while driving. I have not tested to see if the anti-overfill valve works, though I will soon.

Great product.
This is a good low profile auxiliary tank to go under your toolbox. Had to raise my toolbox up cause it was a little deeper. Came with all the hardware. You do have to buy the installation kit separately with the hoses and fittings so you get the right size for your vehicle.

The capacity of this fuel tank is not even close to the 37 gallon advertised
I purchased this fuel tank to provide me with extended range on my long vacation trip at 37 gallons advertise. This should have doubled my shield capacity. The reality is the most I was able to put in the tank with 22 gallons. That is with the fuel to the top of the filling, Spicket. I have seen some other complains from buyers that is somewhere around 32 which would’ve been acceptable to me but 22 was not. I would not recommend this thing because it’s a crapshoot on what capacity you’re gonna get. The only reason I gave it to stars is because it seems very well-made. I am disappointed with this Purchase

Works good
Works and looks perfectly. I just wish it had a place to put an electric sending unit for a fuel level gauge in the truck.

Looks Good- Love It...
I pull a 38 ft 5th wheel. My three section bed cover only two sections folds on top of each other the section close to the truck cab does not fold. So this tanks filler cap extends toward the back of the bed making it very easy for me to reach to add deisle. I do use a little folding stool that allows me to filler-up. I bought the part that goes into the orginal filler tube that come with the truck. I can leave the valve open without worry of the deisle overflowing. The whole setup took me about an hour and half. Love it.
