With BONES HardCore Bushings, you will notice a number of positive improvements in the performance of your trucks. There is no break-in period. Just put them in, adjust and skate. Your trucks will be more responsive and your skating will improve. The HardCore insert in the center of BONES bushings connects the two sides of each bushing together by bonding them to the HardCore insert. When the hanger web squeezes one side of a HardCore bushing, that side of the bushing reacts just like a normal bushing, but the chemical bond between the HardCore and the cushion keep the bushing from being squeezed out the other side. It actually increases the resistance to turning because it is held in place by the HardCore insert. This means basically that BOTH sides of the BONES HardCore Bushing are resisting your turning force. That’s why we call BONES Bushings the first double action truck bushings.

Great for Heavier Skaters
I'm 6'2" and weigh about 225lbs. I haven't skated in 15 years but recently started up again to teach my son. I bought these to replace the bushings that came on my Thunders. The stock bushings were so soft I could barely stand on the board. After tightening them down I only succeeded in blowing them out.The hard bushings from Bones are perfect. They definitely stiffened up the trucks and hold up to my ollies. If you want stiff trucks and/or need something heftier to put up with extra weight, these are perfect.

Great For Big Skaters
In short, buy them if you're a bigger skater. Now, I'll get into it in detail. I skated a lot in my teens and early twenties, and then I quit for four years after having my first kid. A few months ago, I decided to hop on a board again, but I was 100 pounds heavier than I was the last time. My old bushings were still in good shape, but I got horrible wheel bite anytime I did anything besides cruising around and rolling over ramps I was chucked off a few times just from landing after playing around on a manny pad. I popped these bad boys into my trucks, and I'm back to doing tricks with ease.I bought the hard variant because I knew I needed the hardest bushings possible, and I can't begin to describe how smooth these feel despite my weight. They don't squeak, I don't get wheel bite unless I'm intentionally leaning too far, and they reset to center pretty much immediately after my wheels leave the ground. Also, despite being hard and fully tightened, they turn incredibly well. I didn't even have to spend any time breaking them in. They immediately felt comfortable.I can see how they'd be a bad choice for the average skater, though. Unless you have the weight to naturally compress them when turning, you'll have a hard time getting them to turn. The average 145 pound skater would probably feel like their skating on rocks. I can't tell you if the soft and medium varieties handle that better. One thing that did disappoint me is that they're colored differently depending on softness, and that wasn't made clear in the description. I thought I was getting white and yellow (Which would match my setup really well), but I got white with black cores since I bought the hard ones. That's not a big deal, but it was a little bit of a bummer. All in all, if you weigh more than 200 pounds, I can't recommend these enough. They're all I'll be skating on unless I miraculously get fit again, and even then, I'd still buy from Bones due to how great these are. Smaller skaters should try the softer bushings, or they should go with something else entirely, though.

Best hard bushings
These might end up being too hard for me, but even so the quality is unmistakeable. Even at 96a, these feel really hard probably due to the core support that's unique to bones. It really holds you up without making it hard to turn (if you're medium loose~, clamping down tightly on them certainly makes it difficult to turn). It's been great using these learning how to ollie since one of my problems was landing my feet near the edges and my board would sag and turn me making it hard to balance. I'm starting to get better and will probably move to bones mediums for more turn. These are great for max stability when trying to land tricks or perhaps to pick up some speed if that's ure thing, say for vert or fast cruising.

Buy the Bones Bushings!!!
I'm a big rider (6'1" and 250 lbs). My stock independent (orange/medium) bushings were tearing apart so I tried the yellow Super Hard. They were bad and popped out of the cup. The Bones Hard bushings were perfect and were exactly what I was looking for.

Popular for a reason!
These are awesome. I've tried every Indy bushing and the yellows are my favorite followed by the blacks, but I still get speed wobbles and really have to crank them down, but then the trucks are too stiff. Same goes for the white Mini Logo bushings. These hard white bones are much better in every regard. They surprised me how much they transformed the feel of the truck. Well worth imo.

Perfect for my longboard
I am not very knowledgeable about skateboards so I didn't know if this product would work on my longboard when I bought it. I tried to do some research first and I think I just got lucky! It's perfect for my longboard. They are flexible and allow for plenty of smooth turns. They also seem like they will last a few years as they are good quality. Overall, 5 stars!

Instructions in the Box
It makes sense, once you read the instructions. You have two different sizes of bushings, one for the top and one for the bottom of the kingpin. Then it has a hard metal washer that replaces the one that normally goes under the kingpin nut. Now, to find those instructions, look inside the box, it is printed on the inner surface of the cardboard. I used this kit to upgrade my Independent Reynolds GC Hollow Baker trucks on a cruiser board I put together. They have a short kingpin, so I left off the steel washers that comes in the Bones kit, just to be able to thread the nut on. These bushings give more travel for the hanger, to be able to make sharper turns.

Excellent upgrade for trucks.
Definitely amazing, just read all the reviews plus Bones/Powell Peralta have been around forever. Can be used without washers (especially if the kingpin is short), top washer if you want to protect the bushing. I use different combinations of hard & medium. The best bushings are hands down Bones and Venom (developed and used by real skaters), Riptide disappointing. Also using Bones Hardcore Barrels for my longboards (more stability at high speeds), they are money too.

Bets bushings around
The only hard bushings that actually turn. Far more superior to Doh-Doh's and Independents. Use the washers though.

Great, strong bushings
I HATE LOOSE TRUCKS!!!! These tighten them up perfectly, but not too tight you can't turn with a lean. If you're like me I guarantee you'll be satisfied with these bushings. I wasn't sure weather to leave the old spacers on and had to resort to the interwebs, and the old spacers are not required.

Only comes with one washer
Two sets of bushings, but only one washer. Had to go out and buy a second washer, which was really frustrating. Why not two washers, one for each truck?

BEST Soft bushings!
I like these blue bones bushings. I like loose trucks and these are the best I have found.

Worth buying for a firmer ride but pricey!
Very firm and high quality. Which I'd expect for the price.
