Tallest heel insert I've founf and well made.
This heel insert is very tall, taller than any others I've seen/used on the OTC market. The upper layer seems tough but I haven't used them long enough to know with certainty. The adjustable/removable layer for vertical extension seem a little soft at first compared to other brands but this actually "may" lead to greater impact reduction, whether walking, jogging or hiking, etc. Definitely will recommend these height inserts for those who need this feature.

Simple Wedge Shape of Pliable Foam Rubber - Could Easily Have Been Better
There are some things to like about these heel lifts, but they could be made so much better at no additional cost. My first complaint is that they are not even the same height! I received two, and one is 1" measured at the back, but the other one is only 7/8". What kind of sloppy construction is that? Since I need them for just one leg, this is not a terrible problem, but that kind of sloppiness still should not happen. I'll probably request replacements just because the steep wedge shape reduces the actual lift so much that I don't what to give up even that missing 1/8", but that is an additional inconvenience that I should not have to deal with. My second complaint is that these are simple wedges, and fairly steep ones at that. This means that although they are advertised as 1" heel lifts, they are actually nothing close to 1" - Where your heel actually sits on the lift results in about 1/2" lift at most (probably less after the soft foam compresses). This could be easily improved by NOT cutting the lift into a simple wedge; Instead, the bottom layer should have been left full thickness for about 1.5 - 2", and THEN cut on a taper to finish the wedge shape. Since these are made out of very pliable foam, this change would not have created an uncomfortable shape, but it WOULD have created a heel lift that provided close to the advertised height. If the manufacturer is afraid that some people would not like the revised shape, then they should at least offer it as an option. The pliable foam is both good and bad. Since these are not custom molded orthotics, the foam does allow some natural molding to the shape of your foot when standing (but I do not think that is either necessary of of any great value). The down side is of course that the actual height of the lift is reduced by the compression from your body weight. On the plus side, because these large lifts are somewhat wide for things like cowboy boots, the pliability of the foam lets me position the lift completely into the heel pocket and then holds it in place without glues or tape.

Good fit.
Very good fit. Better than the other version that they sell.

Dissatisfied
It did not divide into 2 half inch lifts as described. Ended up with one at 3/4 inch and the other at 1/4 inch approximately. Both are useless as one is too much and the other is not enough.

The vendor recommended a Large size (I'm size 10.5) but once I got it, I realized the lift was too large. More importantly, I only need 1/2" of correction on the left foot. So when I removed one layer, the lift was no longer flat on the bottom and there was a bump in the middle that made walking very uncomfortable. The return process was quite painful. Postage was required. Even my name and address were not mentioned in the label. There was also a pre-announcement that I might be charged for 20% of the price. I was charged 16$ for postage. The provider waived the 20% fee but kept sending incoherent messages (like 15% discount if you keep the item, or when it's no fault of the seller, return shipping will not be covered, after all my explanation, or we will contact you in 2 days, with no contact after all). That's it: poor product and poor customer service. I bought a lift for 16$ (the postage fee of this one), I got 2 pairs and I am very satisfied.
